Poll: Do you drink *tap* water?

Do you drink tap water? (when you can)

  • Yes, tap is fine. Don't waste my $$ on that bottled stuff! <wink>

  • Tap when I can, bottled if I'm out or can't get "good" tap.

  • Tap, but I filter it at home.

  • Bottled all the time, rarely tap.

  • Tap or bottled, whatever is handy. Either is fine.

Why is the Orlando area tap water so "nasty"? Anyone know? I can't even use it to clean my contacts as it leaves a film. I have to use bottled. (FL bottled water is rather "nasty" too, I don't remember the name, something with a z....)....

I've always had tap water in a pitcher in the fridge. Used to be city water, but now we have a well.

If I'm on the go, I'll buy bottled at a gas station or something. But tap is fine by me. Once they are cold, I honestly can't tell the difference.

Is that Zephyrhills?

We have well water at home, and I have no problem drinking that. We do have a filter on the fridge water dispenser, simply because it came on the fridge and we have one of those water filters attached to the faucet, but I don't actually flip it to filter when getting the water out of the tap. I LIKE our water.
School is a different story. The town my college is in has HORRIBLE water. You can smell the chlorine in it. It tastes disgusting (not to mention destroys my hair...). So I buy cases of Poland Springs water for here

I drink bottled water at home. It just tastes better in my opinion. I will drink tap water at a restaurant as long as it is cold and has a lemon. DH just drinks tap.

At home, I drink tap water. We have a well and I love the taste of our well water. It truly is the best water I have ever tasted. We have it checked very regularly to make sure it is 100% safe to drink.

When we're out and the tap water is chemically treated, I drink bottled.

Atb home or in restaurants I'll drink tap water. When at the gym or on the go I'll drink bottled just because it's more conveinent. The water tastes pretty good in my area, there are some places I wouldn't drink the water, but this isn't one of them.

Our tap water is horrible, I swear it smells like a swimming pool it is so full of chemicals so we only drink bottled at home.

I haven't drank tap water since I was about 10. I live in the city that inspired the book and movie A Civil Action.

You're from Woburn? My Aunt lives in Burlington and another Aunt & Uncle in Billerica. I remember all that stuff about WR Grace.

back on topic... I only drink bottled water, no tap for this chick!

Same here - we actually have a water softener system in our house as well. So we have the system serviced once a year and the water tested. I love our well water and can't drink city water.

We have a distilling machine that removes everything, but the water doesn't taste all that bad from the tap here.
