Poll: Do you drink *tap* water?

Do you drink tap water? (when you can)

  • Yes, tap is fine. Don't waste my $$ on that bottled stuff! <wink>

  • Tap when I can, bottled if I'm out or can't get "good" tap.

  • Tap, but I filter it at home.

  • Bottled all the time, rarely tap.

  • Tap or bottled, whatever is handy. Either is fine.

We drink water from the refrigerator. It has a filter, but like Tigger&Belle who knows how often it gets changed.

BTW, I've read that it's a bad idea to refill plastic water bottles. They are cheap plastic and only made for one use. When they get washed and re-used the plastic breaks down and you may be drinking plastic. :scared: Buy a good quality refillable bottle.

Tap here - and I bring water up to my place at the lake or buy the gallon jugs.. I have a gravity fed well up there (untested) so I won't drink that water.. Late last fall (when I was getting ready to leave and didn't want to buy more water) I thought I could skate by - using the water up there from the tap for making coffee - and I'm pretty sure that's where I picked up that bug that nearly prevented me from going on my trip to Disney.. Won't make THAT mistake again!!!!

As long as the bottles are washed well, which we do in hot, soapy water, and then alllowed to dry (and I usually wash the lids in the d/w), it's not a problem to reuse.

Tap water for us!:thumbsup2 I drink bottled water occasionally if I'm out or away on vacation. Bottled water is a must for us when in the Caribbean.

I drink bottled unless there is none available.

Sorry, but I have no desire to put chlorine, fluoride, and aluminum into my body.

It is not necessarily the water, it is what the water companies put into it!!! :sad2:

I'm somewhere between most of these, but I chose "Tap but I filter it."

I have a Brita filtered water bottle that I use at work (and at Disney). I have a Brita pitcher for home. But most times at home I just drink the water that comes out of my fridge (same water that feeds the ice maker). I don't think it's filtered because I don't have a filter to replace.

When I'm out, I usually get tap water with lemon to drink.

But I do keep bottled water on hand, to grab when I'm on the go.

Sounds about like me. My tap water is good, but I filter it through the fridge dispenser so it will be icey cold. When I'm out and about I bring along bottled water.

We got a letter from the city saying our tap water had too much lead and isn't good for pregnant women and small children. Now we use a Brita filter attached to the tap and bottled water.

I will drink anything!

I have both at home and use whatever is convenient. I must admit, growing up in the South, I have a thing for spring water - and I'm not gettting that out of my tap - here it comes in a case of 24.

Arizona tap water is horrible even with a filter it's bad. I drink bottled and also make tea, lemonade, coffee, etc. with bottled.

Our tap water is not potable and smells like wet dog!!!

The city sends out the same postcard every 3 months that the water does not meet government regulations, and even tho you do not *have* to boil it before drinking, it is advised. :headache:

Anything you try to make with it ends up tasting like wet dog too!! We even filter!!

Why not?:confused3

We have well water too and had it tested. It is completely safe to drink. Most city waters make me want to puke when I drink them. For me it is either our well water or bottled water.

I was wondering that too. I had well water half my life and drank it with no problem.

No tap water for us. We have well water and I just would not chance it.

:confused3 I'm wondering too. Same as korbbec, I drank well water most of my life(which was tested regularly) and never had a problem. It has the best taste to me and doesn't smell funny, no chemicals.

For the past 6 years, our water comes from the city, and while it doesn't taste bad, I just don't trust it. Whenever they test it, I get a notice in the mail with all the stuff that was found in it. I will have spring water delivered, instead.

I drink Tap water all the time!:thumbsup2

I just REFUSE to pay for bottle water....unless I am in WDW!

I prefer our tap water. It has a good taste to it.

But when I go out, I always have a bottle of water. Usually Dasani. I really dislike Aquafina.

Have done tap most of my life. Well water from age 1 to 18, city water after that and then with a brita but now I am all about the bottle.

We have well water and it's fine to drink but has a skight sulpher taste and I use it for cooking but we buy water bottles to drink.

I still drink tap if I go to any of my friends houses because they have good wells. It's city water that is iffy because there are people who don't do their jobs and then it's contaminated. There was a town in Ontario that had several deaths because of it.

We get our well water checked every 2 years and nobody I know has had any problems.
