I bought in 1999 when I was 19...I was glad to see the sister team because I was beginning to think that I was the youngest person ever to buy into DVC. I bought for myself because my parents had been turning down the sales people since I was 12 and I thought they were nuts!!

Has anybody been surprized by the results of this poll? I was surprized by the percentage who were under 30 (I should have added a 26 to 30 category, changed the 30 and under to 25 and under, and combined some of the other groups that currently have no responses).

31-35 for DH and myself. We bought a resale last summer. If we had been really smart we would have bought after our WDW honeymoon in 1995 when we had all that money as wedding gifts!

Yes, I'm surprised! Lots of people were so smart while still in their 30's!

I was 32 and Dh was 34. It is cool to see the ages. Seems like 30somethings are their demographic :)

then DVC was first sold - it like the other timeshares were marketed toward grandparents and retires - it didn't take DVC too long to realized that they were marketing to the wrong people - the Adventures Collection, etc...

they have one of the youngest ages of timeshares in the business.

I was 35 (just turned) and DH was 47 (almost 48) when we bought in 2002 at BCV.

I was 25 when we bought and my DH was 26.

I wish we would have purchased it when we were 21, when we first stayed with my grandparents at Vero Beach.

In my family my grandparents own, we own, my uncle and his partner joined in December and my parents have the paperwork all ready, but still sitting on their table. I am hoping for a whole family of DVCers :-)

bought in 1999 (added points in '01) I was 38 and my husband was 32. besides all of the restrictions that abound in traditional timeshares offered in California, the majority are only good for 30 years-dvc was an opportunity we knew we would enjoy well into our retirement years as well as something our kids would have available when they become adults. We have never regretted our purchase, and it's the one automatic payment from our checking account I don't grumble about each month. :cheer2:

Dh and I bought last year, me 24, he was 23.

We just bought into SSR. I am 35 and my husband is 37. We almost bought in September of 2001, but decided we needed to buy our first house first. I am so glad we finally did it! And we get 12 more years! :)
