Polished nickel or chrome for faucet?

Is there a big difference in the look of polished nickel and chrome? Have no "polished" nickel in my store to look at. Online I see lots of bathroom faucets in polished nickel I like but they look just like chrome on my monitor. So, for the added expense, is the polished nickel much better looking or very different looking from chrome?

Polished nickel is duller . I have it in my powder room since my light was nickel. Really like the look . Chrome is shiny.

The faucets are not holding up though. The handles have a thumb mark were it has worn. Mind you now that I think of it they are 10 years old, not sure when I noticed the wear on them.

I just noticed you said Polished mine are brushed nickel. Not sure if they are the same.

I like the brushed (sorry, not "polished") nickel better than chrome. Chrome is just too shiny and shows scratches more, IMO.

NAB...no, polished and brushed aren' t the same. Have the brushed.

I really like polished nickel. It has a warmer look than chrome.
