Policy on WDW Bus system?

If I am staying at one of the Downtown Disney Hotels (Doubletree) am I still able to use Disney's Bus system?

Officially, with a hopper pass or annual pass, yes. With single day passes or other non-hopping passes, no.

The defacto policy is that Disney helps park guests get to where they want to go except where there is unusual overcrowding including parking lots, or when and where there are security problems or alerts.

There are no nonstop trips from DD to theme parks, you have to connect at a resort.

You may use our Park-To-Park transportation to your hearts desire. You may also travel to one of our resorts for shopping, or dining. However for Hotel to Theme Park, we do ask that you use the provided transportation to and from your hotel, instead of using our DTD buses.

Dear Chip
I will be spending 18 solo days at WDW accompanied by my (mobility) service dog and an ECV. As I'm not renting a van, I will be depending heavily on the Dizport system in all its variations...bus, boat, etc. to get around and I was wondering if you could tell me the procedure you use for loading ECV, Service Dog, and passenger on a bus...All three on the lift at once? Passenger first?, Service Dog first? We have time to practice on public transport if I only knew what to prepare Cash (my 100+ pound lab service dog) for as we aren't arriving until January...

We have two sizes of lifts for the standard floor RTS, as well as a low floor bus equipped with a ramp.

The trick for the Lifts will be to try and get the ECV to one side, leaving room for Cash. Any other passengers can come up before or after.

Current policy for Disney requires that all ECV's board the lift in reverse. This is also policy for the low floor ramps... they must be boarded in reverse.

Don't ever worry about time or holding people up... we've got all the time in the world.
