Police: 'Spitting' Teen Shocked With Taser At Disney

Good for Disney for calling in the police, instead of looking the other way. Maybe finally the tide will turn and rude, disruptive guests will be dealt with.
Well, I know management has been weighing some options for tougher measures, especially in regards to "repeat offenders". This incident may well be the catalyst for some changes in policy.

Unfortunately, this is only the beginning of an ugly trend in America. Kids have changed a lot over the last 10 years or so. There's no more respect for authority (especially police/security) and kids these days feel like they're bulletproof and above the law.

It's so easy to blame the stuff they watch on TV (shows like *******, Scarred, Viva La Bam), but it all comes down to parenting. Too many parents these days would rather be their kid's best friend than be a mom or dad. I can almost guarantee that these kids' parents will sue or attempt to sue Disney World and the Sheriff's Office.

If they were my kids, the tazer would feel like a shiatsu massage compared to what I'd do to them. And if you think that's wrong of me, I'm sorry. I was raised that way and I have never been to prison, I respect all authority figures and I still don't curse in front of my parents. And I thank my parents for raising me properly.

P.S. I actually watch ******* and Viva La Bam and enjoy it to some extent. I absolutely can't stomach Scarred, but that's because it makes me queasy.

WOW! I have tried to get more info on what really happened but the local news seems to have dropped the story!

But reading what little I could find, and of course local "hear-say"... it's almost like the real parents (not involved) won 30 million in a lottery, were staying at the GF and the "kids" involved were all high on drugs! "Intoxication" does not always mean alchohol does it?

I do have a problem with "released on bond"...

Long Islanders * * * we don't think less of you! There is trash everywhere, and sometimes ya have to throw the trash out!

I believe if you attack a cop of any kind, there are no longer any rules...

Sung to When you wish upon a Star.

When you beat upon a cop,
his taser, will make you flop
The Disney that your heart desires
is banned for you.

It will seem like a bad dream
that ZZZZZT ZZZZZT will feel extreme
when you beat upon a cop
as morons do.

Fate's a witch
she brings to those who hit
the sweet pounding
of the judge's gavel

Like a bolt out of the blue
He will put the cuffs on you
When you end up behind bars
Your cellmate's dreams come true

WHOA

This is hilarious.

Just wondering, maybe I'm the only one thinking this way, so I thought I'd put it out there.

People have mentioned that kids today are ruder, and think they are bulletproof. I tend to agree with that statement, and I wonder if it's not because of shows they watch (my teenage was filled with "*******" moments, many of which involved emergency room visits), but maybe it's because they think "hey, I'm not out gang-banging, doing drive-bys and selling drugs". Perhaps they think that since they're not doing any of the really bad crimes, that what they do isn't going to get them in trouble.

Sorry for the run-on sentences. I believe Captain Hook is the grammer police these days. Mea Culpa.

And, back on topic, perhaps parents think the same thing. They don't care what thier kids do as long as they're not gang-banging, doing drive-bys and selling drugs.

I dunno, I can't figure it all out tonight, so I figure I'll just hang with your daughter (that's from a movie, the only daughter I'm interested in hanging with is my mother-in-law's daughter).

Apparently, I am naive. Do things like this happen frequently?? I know there are rude people, but usually it is people who dont think. Then again, when I am in WDW I am on cloud 9. :cloud9:

This story makes me so sad (and angry.) You just know these kids will have some stupid excuse for acting the way they did. I would give good money to hear what their parents have to say.

Seriously, what is wrong with some people?

IMO, in the past two years or so, I've noticed a difference. I don't think it happens often exactly, just more frequently than it used to. On the last vacation, I noticed a lot more cursing, wearing bathing suits/bikinis, smoking wherever you like, heelies and shoving in crowds, cutting people off, etc. I didn't notice any spitting or assault (unless you count a heelie wearer knocking someone to the ground) but just higher levels of inconsiderate behavior.

If you look at myspace, you can find Brian whatever his name is on there. Figures, his profile is trashy, filled with profanity and naked women.

His parents must be so proud.

Inconsiderate behavior, heck yea!!! And swearing. The lady behind us in line to see the princesses was with her, maybe 5ish, daughter and saying "this is f*%@ing ridiculous, every time the line didnt move, or moved and she didnt get in there yet. And the line was only 20 minutes long, nothing bad. I just gave her a nasty look after the 2nd time. I mean, come on people. How many kids are around you!!!!!!!!!!!! Next came the guy in the small world line (another 15 minute total wait). He was in lane #1, and could not get on the boat because down came a family w/ a wheelchair and they got on. He yells what the "insert F-bomb here" really loud. Come on buddy!!! I think my kids are going to learn more swear words from our trips to disney. :lmao:

I'd bet the parents of these kids have contacted their attorneys to find out what the police/disney did wrong.

Just a hunch.

People (the police) are jealous of them because they won the lottery, that is why it happened.

ok, this is coming from a cops wife, but.....

you got what you deserved, reguardless of your age. (the article does not state the ages, just "teens" which could be anywhere from 13-19. even if they were 13, they should know better than to do anything that even comes close to "attacking" and officer.) and no, dispite what some citizens say.....it is not part of an officers job to be disrespected or assaulted. it is their job to keep others safe, keep even the assulter safe, and enforce the law. then they come home safely to their families just like everybody else. there is no martar/crap taker clause in the oath they take when they are sworn in.

ditto-from another cop's wife

...And my 3 boys would rather be tazered than have DH or I have to ever pick them up at a police station/security station. I can see them now, begging to be put in jail, rather than be released to us...

I am serious.

And don't call me Shirley.

That is the best post I've read in years.:rotfl:

I was reading the comments attached to the Orlando Sentinel post and one reader said they were in WDW because the Grandpa won 40 million in the lottery.

I also went to her MySpace page and was disgusted. (Is she one of Cinderella's stepsisters?) Always nice to discuss your baby and getting high on the same page.

I think this sums it all up....AMEN!

This is exactly why my 14 year old daughter is mad at me all of the time...."Myfriends parents do not make them do any chores, or respect their teachers, or speak kind to others (including grandparents), or get good grades.....blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...." I am so fed up with parents not wanting to "parent" these days. HOWEVER, to those who are responsible and raise their children with morals....CUDOS TO YOU!! Don't ever back down because your children's lives and well being depend on it! All you can do is what is right and hope for the best.

MOUSE VS. 'RATS'
L.I. ROWDIES IN DISNEY DISASTER

WORLD OF TROUBLE: Among the busted were Brian Guilfoil (above), sister Nicole and his girlfriend, Rose DiPietro.

A family of Long Island lunkheads tried to turn the Magic Kingdom into the Wild Kingdom, police said.

Five young people from Shirley were busted at Disney World after they drunkenly spat and cursed at other patrons, then scuffled with cops, who had to use a Taser gun to subdue an out-of-control teenage girl, police said.

Security workers at the Orlando, Fla., theme park said they approached the suspects - four teenage brothers and sisters and the 20-year-old girlfriend of the oldest sibling - after receiving complaints Sunday night that the group had been harassing people near the Space Mountain roller coaster.

They were taken to the park's security office, where they allegedly began to threaten the staff, prompting a call to the sheriff's office.

When a deputy arrived, he spotted the oldest man in the group - Brian Guilfoil, 19 - bumping his chest against a security guard and cursing, according to the police report.

As the deputy walked between the two, all hell broke loose. Guilfoil pushed him and the four others jumped on top of him and began punching, cops said.

"I was punched in the face with closed fists several times by all defendants. I defended myself by throwing counterpunches in their faces and bodies in an attempt to break free," the officer wrote in his report.

A deputy then grabbed 17-year-old Nicole Guilfoil - who stands 4-foot-11 and weighs 95 pounds - and forced her to the ground. As he attempted to subdue her, the four others allegedly attacked him, setting her free.

She then punched the cop again, forcing him to blast her with the stun gun, the report stated.

After that, the others were subdued and arrested. Brian Guilfoil and his girlfriend, Rose DiPietro, 20, were charged with battery against a police officer and resisting arrest. They were released on Monday on $2,300 bond.

Nicole Guilfoil, a senior at Longwood HS, and her younger brother, 14, and sister, 16, were charged as juveniles.

The family has been barred from all Disney parks and resorts.

"Behavior like this is not tolerated," spokeswoman Zoraya Suarez said.

Yeah, kind of like the accused child molester at the Swan pool about three weeks ago...I still have not seen or heard an update on what happened to this man! Wonder why?? Anyone else??? I would love to hear...

This appeared in today's (May 23rd) New York Post - luckily the whole family has been barred from Disney World Parks and Resorts. The article states that Nicole Guilfoil goes to Longwood HS and I went to the school's website to see if they mention anything about this incident. I know I have seen schools who post a response but they have not. I get a kick out of you can download a code of conduct on the school's website. I guess these kids never read it.
