Hi, don't know where to post this. But, any Canadians have children that own the old Pokemon Cards. My DD12 wants to sell all of hers at our garage sale this Saturday. Are the worth anything?????????????

They might be worth more than what you would get at a garage sale. For example, cards like Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur could be worth a lot (my DS says that they may be worth around $100!). I would check with a card store or comic book store (for example, in Brampton, we would go to Comic Warehouse) first before selling the cards. You never know, you might be able to finance a trip to WDW with the proceeds!

I pmed you about this last night, but I never thought to mention maybe checking ebay. You might find some comparables there and what they are selling for. I have looked for Pokemon cards on ebay for DD8 but have never bought any. I just found that there was way to many to choose from. Plus by adding in the shipping cost , it always brought the price up pretty high.

I think you should go the eBay route before trying to sell them at a garage sale. DBF sold some of his Magic cards (another CCG) there and had good luck. Some of the cards went for more than they were worth while others went at market value. In any case, I was just happy to get rid of them ... we had more space and some extra US cash for WDW :)
