These numbers are not fact I'm just trying to get a idea. :flower3:

I like both places Beach Club and Boardwalk. Would you get 160 points at $15,000 to be at Beach Club or be at Boardwalk with 200 points at $10,000? Knowing its harder to get Beach Club resale. Just wondering why I can get so many Boardwalk contracts compare to Beach Club.

Both are in our price range, but $15,000 is where we wont to stop.

All we need is 160 points which will give us all the times we would go to WDW. Also there is 3 of so we only need a studio.

I think that you should buy where you want to go :). If you would be happy to be at BWV, then save the $5K and buy there. We love the BCV, so bought there even though the prices are a lot higher. It sounds like you would be happy at both places. I would say that historically, BCV has higher resale prices than BWV, so if you would ever consider selling some day, that might factor in to the equation a little bit. If you will need to travel during peak travel times and really want to stay at BCV, then you will need that as your home resort. But if it really doesn't matter to you, then I would save the $$. Lucky for you, you really like both places!

For good or bad, it mattered to us, so we spent the money. Now we are about to spend the money for VGC, too, since that is another place where we want the 11-month window. But we could have saved 50% buying at OKW or SSR, but neither are anywhere near Disneyland!

BCV is smaller and newer compared to BWV, hence greater demand. To me BCV offers nothing over BWV except parking and the pool and to me SAB is over rated. Definitely better views at BWV.

It would be no question for me, I would go for less money, more points.

However if you really want BCV best get it.

Another thing to consider is the points for standard view at BWV. They are lower than BC and hard to get at the 7 month window.

We also debated this and ended up choosing BWV. We have no regrets. I agree with the idea of buying where you want to stay, but you also need enough points to stay where you want to stay. Really take time to look at the points charts for each of these two resorts. IMHO, BWV is great deal because of the standard points. For the amount you could purchase at BCV, you really wouldn't get to enjoy it as much as you would like. Also, once you are already in DVC, you will eventually realize that you just need MORE points and you may just look for a super deal. For example, we just added on at SSR and have never stayed there!! Good luck with your choice!

That's only $50 per point. I doubt that would pass ROFR.
Thats why I put in the first line these numbers are not facts they are also rounded off. Im just trying to get a idea points over money.

So far it seem buy what you realy want.

Perhaps you should also consider the increased cost of annual dues with those extra BWV points...is that a factor for you as well?

Yep. It would. I passed ROFR on a 166 point BWV contract this week at $50 per point.

FWIW, I looked at both, but I only looked at those two resorts as the location is my biggest factor. IMO, BWV has a slightly better location as you can walk to Epcot and the Studios. I like having the opportunity to book standard view. And, to me, SAB is not a deal breaker. I really like BCV and I'll be staying there this year for F&W ( got in at 7 months ) but next year I'll book a Standard View and offset the points. And, to me, the thousands of dollars more for the pool access just isn't worth it.

You and I think alike, Miss Tammy !
