Points use question/Star Wars Weekend

Okay...I think I have figured out the answer to this question, but I am needing affirmation.

I have a September UY. I am wanting to plan a trip to WDW in June 09. At this point, I only have my 2009 UY points available as I have borrowed for another trip. We are desperately wanting to do the Star Wars Weekend, which of course has a high point value at that time (we would have to go during Magic period most likely). Am I correct in assuming that I can only borrow what points I have left for my 2009 UY and can't borrow from 2010?

What is your suggestion as how to best make this happen??

You can only borrow one year ahead, so you are correct that you can't use September 2010 use year points in June 2009.

The way to make this happen is an add-on

Get an Starwood Preferred Gold Amex card and become a Starwood member. I have stayed during weekends twice during SWW- once with a great discount, once free on points. Look into it. Weekend points are so expensive to use on weekends, especially for a weekend only trip.

I thought about this. But at a decent rate of $10/pt, it would be $500. If we absolutely had to be able to be there two full days, I guess we could rent a place off site for the one extra weekend day? Not too bad of an idea. Wouldn't unpack, that's for sure. Just a place to rest our head for the evening, say Friday, check out in the AM, go to HS Saturday, check in at the resort Saturday PM and carry on. We would stay an additional 3-4 nights so as not to eat up points too much and visit the other parks, which we, of course, love.
