Points use question from newbie

I have an appointment to meet with my guide this evening on the phone. But I want to make sure I understand that I can use my points the way I would like.

What I want to do is, book next February 2008. Can I use my points from 2007,2008 and part of 2009. Or am I confused. I will need a total of 394 points, and I am purchasing 160 per year?

What is your use year? You can book a Feburary 2008 trip on the corresponding check out date in March (next month). Don't worry about the use year, because MS will take it out of the correct year. Depending on what month your use year is, it could be in '07 or '08 use year.

If you have a use year that is after Feb, then your Feb 2008 trip would fall in your 2007 use year. You can't use 2009 points for that reservation, but you could use 2008 use year points (and even 2006 banked points if you had them).

You go by use year and not calendar year. So, if you have a June use year, your year would be Jun 1 to May 31.

Make sure your guide is clear on what you want to do, because as Deb & Bill said, you'll need a February use year to use 2007, 2008 and 2009 points in Feb 2008.
