Points question

Hi!
I own at SSR, my use year is August. This year we are visiting SSR in September.

We hope to try out all the DVC properties and for September 2005 I really want to visit Old Key West. So if at the 11 month window I book SSR and swap it to OKW at the 7 month window what happens with the points difference? As SSR costs more points than OKW will they just get credited to my account? Or aren't they actually 'used' until you stay in the villa?

I guess what I am asking is, do your points get taken at time of booking or travelling?

Points are taken out of your account when you make the reservation - think of them as "holding" the reservation.

If you switch to OKW and the OKW reservation costs less points than the SSR reservation, the "extra" points are returned to your account. You can use them for something else or bank them if your banking deadlines haven't passed.
