I called today to book my next trip (yay!), but ran into a problem. I bought an add on(resale) for 25 points, June use year(my other points are all Sept). When I finally got them I had 25 2002 points banked into 2003 and all my 2003 points. I am POSITIVE the contract ahd 25 banked points, because the friend who sold them to me, tried to transfer them into my account, at which time we found you can not transfer banked points.
So I added a day in a preferred view studio for my most recent trip, as we knew we wouldn't be able to use them before June 2004 otherwise. 22 poimts.
I called MS today wanted to use 42 of my 50 June points for our first night and she tells me I only have 28 points. That we banked the 2003 points, and then the next day called and borrowed the 2004 points(22 of them) for the studio. I KNOW there is no way that was not our intention as we only added the night to use points that would have gone to waste.
So I went ahead and booked with my Sept points after getting nowehre talking to the MS woman about the June year.
I am positive my friend was not mistaken about banking the 2002 points, this was not some stranger, but a good friend who sold them to me.
Anywy, I guess I've learned my lesson, and from now on will be emailing MS to confirm all point usage so they(and I!)know exactly what points were used.
Yet another reason to have online booking.

Also be sure to write down (or keep the e-mail) that contains confirmation #s for banking transactions.

I'm having trouble following what happened. You might want to ask MS to send you a point statement. They are tricky to follow since they include every transaction over the history of the contract. However, it should be able to show what happened to June 2002 points -- whether they were used, banked or are still in the account.

Anytime I make a reservation, I always confirm point balances by use year before and after the transaction. If you get a good cm, they will usually give you the balances before you even ask.

I would send them an e-mail outlining what you thought you had. With everything in writing, they maybe able to figure it out.

My experience is that I have asked to have the verbal tapes checked for the days I made the calls.
If the points have been used wrongly a supervisor has been able for me to sort out the problem.
once banked 500pts. I didn't request but the problem got sorted out.
Member services can make mistakes, they are only human and I have always found them very reasonable when a problem occurs, after all its Disney.

I have a points statement coming. My highlighters are at the ready, that's the only way I can work with them. LOL
My husband called and banked our 2003 points into 2004(I have the confirmation #), the next day he called and made the ressie for Sept 2003 using 22 points, he asked more than once if they were sure that they used the banked(2002) points and they assured him they did. BUT when I talked to MS today, she told us we banked the 2003 points, and the next day borrowed our 2004 points for the reservation.
I checked with my friend, she did bank the 2002 points, but I guess they somehow got lost in the shuffle with the sale, because she did not use them, I did not use them, and they are nowhere. LOL
Oh well, at least it was only 25 points, not a big deal, just a reminder for me to get things in writing, so I know if I have accidentally screwed up.

If the person you purchased the contract from banked them before hand, you may need a statement from them as well. I am quite sure you will be able to work this out, but it might take some effort and time.

I guess we had both thought that since they were banked, I recieved all the points at the time the sale went through.
By now it's too late to do anything about it since those points expire 6/04, and we have no need for them between now and then.
Even though I was stressed after calling MS, I feel okay about it now, live and learn and all that.

I would not take the attitude that " it's only 25 points." Every point is valuable.. it's Dinsey! I sure hope you can get it all sorted out.
