Points for a MODERATE??

Hi, Has anyone ever used their points to stay at a moderate resort?? Joan

Yes because I was new and did not realize what a waste it was. At the time it was 21 points per night for CBR.

And now you'll have to pay $95 on top of the points to sleep in a double bed.

Yes we have stayed at both POR and CRB on points. We will do this when we want to add on to a stay and find that DVC is fully booked. The new fee will stop us from doing that however, which, I believe is exactly what Disney wants to happen.

As for the poster who said "why would anybody do that?" becuase its cheaper than paying cash.

We have used points to add an extra night as well. CBR and CS. This was because there were not any DVC rooms, the AS were sold out and we didn't want to pay cash. I won't do this any more with the $95 fee. We enjoyed getting to try these other resorts out.
