If you cancel a reservation MORE than 60 days in advance those points go back to the use year from which they came don't they?
Can those cancelled points be banked?

from the member site:

Changing a reservation 31 or more days prior to check-in:
If the new reservation uses fewer Vacation Points than the original reservation, the remaining Vacation Points will be returned to your account in the Use Year in which the reservation falls.

Cancelling a reservation 31 or more days prior to check-in:
All Vacation Points used to make the reservation will be restored to your account in the Use Year in which the reservation falls.

if you used banked or borrowed pts, they remain in the UY that they were banked or borrowed into - not their original UY. they will expire at the end of that UY.

Can those cancelled points be banked?

if they are current year pts and you are within your banking window, then yes.

AS long as you are within your banking window, and they are current UY points, they can be banked. If they are borrowed points, or were banked from last UY, they have to be used by the end of your current use year.
