Point transfer into developer points

Have 160 SSR developer points.
Need 164 for what we want to do.
I know we can transfer points in/out once a year, but can I transfer in 4 points for use with the developer points?
The ressie will be within the 7 month window (May, hopefully) so will any points do, or do they have to be SSR points?
And one more question, when they say "once a year" is that a calander year (Jan 1 to Dec 31) or UY? (say Oct 1- Nov 30 for Oct UY)?

I'm sure it can be done but MS will have to do a manual transaction off-line. The normal Advisers will take your request and pass it on to a special team for processing.

At 7 months any points can be used.

The one transfer rule is per UY, not calendar year.

I have done this twice making reservations using both my points and my developer points and it isn't considered a transfer. Also I didn't get a call back the MS cast member did it all for me I just had to be put on hold for a bit. You should have no problems

But my BLT points are not usable until Oct 09 (my UY) and we need a May 09 ressie with the SSR dev points (pre and post cruise) which expire in Oct 09, so I believe I would need a transfer for the 4 points.
Am I missing something?

oh I misundedrstood sorry thought you were using your own points.

I have the same type of dilemma. I used 150 of my developer points for 2 rooms at Grand Californian in April. I want to add on another night and need 50 more points. I don't get my regular points until May when Kidani Village opens, so I can't use those points.

My sister just bought into DVC and has 160 developer points and said I could use some of hers. MS says her points can't be transferred into my account. I thought she could transfer those points. If she can, could I apply my 10 leftover developer points to help pay for the room?

Developer Points can't be transferred but your sister can make a reservation in your name using her DPs for the extra night you want.

And for combining your leftover 10 DPs with your sister's DPs to cover that extra night you want to have booked I am not 100% sure but think that this is not going to be possible and that the points to cover the night will have to come entirely from either her allotment of DPs or your allotment of DPs.

Yep, that is exactly what I was told this morning when I booked my trip for May at SSR. I asked specifically because of this thread knowing I'd have 10 points left over and thought I might be able to help someone needing extra points. I was told the only way to use them would be to borrow points (which I can't do until Sept.1), or to have a member transfer their non-developer points to me which I could combine with my developer points and have me make the reservation.
