We are going to be staying at POFQ but having dinner at Ohanas. Is it best for us to just drive to the Polynesian and if so, how long approx. will it take us to drive?

Thanks. Cindy

I'm not sure which would take longer but you could take the boat MK then monorail to Poly.

It is definitely quickest to drive, takes about 15 minutes. Disney transportation would take at least 45 minutes. HTH

My son and I just went from POR to the TTC this week, right next to the Poly, to fetch a lost hat from Lost & Found (actually in a part of the Kennel you see from the TTC).

Round trip, using the best system we could, it took just under 2 hours. At minimum, plan 45 minutes to the Poly from POFQ. You can either take the boat to Downtown Disney and then a bus to the Poly, or take a Bus to either MK or Epcot from POFQ and the monorail from either location to the Poly. There is no direct transportation from POFQ to the Poly so that's why 45 minutes minimum is a good plan.

Previous to this trip, we've rented a car and drove from place to place so this time we wanted to save the car rental cost and rely solely on WDW transportation including Magical Express. Yes, it does take longer to get from place to place but we didn't care, we just planned for it. And, did a lot of people watching and listening :3dglasses :listen:

I would not recommend going to Epcot. The monorail only goes to TTC from Epcot, so you would have to transfer to the other monorail line at TTC or walk to the Poly from TTC.
If you take the bus to the MK you can either take the resort monorail from MK or the resort boat from the MK dock. The monorail loop from MK would be MK to CR to TTC to Poly to GF and back to MK. The resort boat loop from MK is MK to GF to Poly and back to MK.

The bus to MK and then the boat to the Poly is a good alternative. Driving there is really easy if you go by Fort Wilderness and go in that way. Parking can be a problem. It is easier to use valet parking. ENJOY!!!

I agree. We never rely on Disney transportation because for us, it is way too long...this is MY opinion though. :teeth:

I would definitely drive....WDW transportation will take forever.

Agreed, if you have the option when doing resort - resort then car is the quickest, otherwise I find disney transportation brilliant, it's just this one point which lets it down ...
