POFQ to Cape May Cafe...and back?

I need a little transportation reassurance/guidance!

We have a 7:55am ADR at Cape May Cafe on our departure day. We are staying at POFQ. DHS has the morning EMH that day, so I am assuming that we will be able to board a bus at 7 (park opens at 8) and then either walk or take the boat to BC. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!

My major concern is getting back to POFQ. ME, according to DH's mother, is picking us up at 11:30, which seems like it would be plenty of time...but...is it? When we finish breakfast, will we find a bus headed for POFQ from DHS? Or are they in some sort of "park drop-off mode?"

Note - I am not the actual planner of this trip and have already thrown out the idea of taking a taxi, which was quickly dismissed by MIL.

TIA for your input!

Yes, the best way to get to the Cape May Cafe is by taking the bus to DHS and the I personally would walk over to the Beach Club from the studios. I have found that this is faster than taking the boat...unless there is one waiting at the dock when you exit from the bus stop. If so, the go ahead and take the boat, otherwise walk over.
If your breakfast is for 7:55 you can assume that your breakfast will be over by 9:00. Assuming that your MIL is correct about the ME return time (pick up time is aprox 3 hours prior to your flight time) you should be fine getting back to the POFQ.
Again, I'd walk over to the DHS and then take the bus back to the POFQ. Giving yourself an hour of travel time should be plenty. You should be back to the POFQ by 10:00. Just a reminder, if you pick up time is listed for 11:30 you need to be at the ME bus stop by 11:15 as they tell you to be at the stop 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick up time.

Thank you so much! I'm not sure why, but I was very anxious about this and you have made me feel a lot better! :)

On a side note, my dad grew up in the Pottstown area. He has never called himself a Delawarean, even though he has lived here for 30 years, but rather a "transplanted Pennsylvanian."

Enjoy your trip.
I've lived in this area all my life but growing up we always had a vacation home in Delaware. My mother's grandmother had a boarding house in Rehoboth and then after she passed away we had a small cottage there. Later my mom and dad bought a vacation home in Ocean View, my grandparents lived there year round as well. I love the beaches in Delaware.

Yes, they are in a sort of "park drop-off mode", BUT they do have coordinators that are watching the bus stops and will pick up "upstream" passengers as quickly as they can. It will take a little longer, but it will happen. Also, as a previous poster stated, you should be finished with breakfast by 9 - 9:30, so two hours to get back to POFQ should be sufficient. Also, there are LOTS of cabs around at the Studios parking lot, so if for some reason you are waiting a long period of time, you have the option of grabbing a cab very quickly.

I thought you could only walk from Epcot to Cape May (Beach Club). You can walk from DHS to Cape May?

Yep, if you pass the Yacht and Beach Club and head towards the intersection where the Boardwalk, Yacht/Beach, and Swan/Dolphin meet, there are signs and a sidewalk that lead in behind the Boardwalk and go all the way over to the Studios!!

It's a really pleasant walk along the waterway. As clkelley stated it's well marked. I purposely walk from DHS over to Epcot as or Epcot to DHS , then after I've walked off a few calories I stop at the Boardwalk Bakery for a treat.
