POFQ & POLY or only Dolphin

My DD who is 28 and I are going solo to WDW next month. We have never stayed at any of these resorts and want to see which one we would like to take my 3 yo granddaughter to. We will be there only 4 days. Would it be a big problem to switch after 2 days at POFQ to Poly or should we try the Dolphin for 4 days? I am thinking either the POly or POFQ would be the best for the granddaughter. Also thinking if we like POFQ we would not have to spend the big bucks for the Poly then. But I can get a nurse discount at the Dolphin and there is more nightlife for the adults. Please help! Thanks

I wouldn't want to do a split day in a 4 day trip. I've stayed at the Dolphin with a 3 year old and a 2 year old. It was a great location and the resort pool was fun. I loved being able to walk/boat to Epcot and MGM. The Poly might be my first choice though because of the theme, monorail and proximity to MK. POFQ sounds like a great resort for a moderate, but with a 3 year old you won't want to take a long bus ride everywhere.
