We stayed at AKV Club Level 3 times in the last 2 years. Here's our experience over the past 3 visits. We stayed on DVC points.
The service by the club level concierge staff was top notch. They took very good care of us and did everything we needed. They even packed-up and shipped out some very large souveniers to our home back in Indiana. They were extremely wonderful.
The food, food offerings, and even the food service staff has gone down hill considerably. Our first stay some two years ago the food was top notch, not so much the second stay and the third stay was pretty bad. Most of the food we had in the evenings appeared to be microwaved appetizers and not cooked or perpared at Boma. The desserts were frozen and it even seemed to us they were microwaved in order to thaw them out.
My other problem was with the way the food wait staff was replacing the food. Many dishes were left empty for too long a time. I can't tell you how many times I had to wait until food was replenished. When it did get replenished it was gone quickly because so many people were waiting for food.
Continental breakfast and afternoon cookies and such were pretty basic. I'm really not trying to frighten you, but I have to be honest...The food and staff have gone downhill since our first visit.
I hope you have a wonderful time! Our family loves AKV because of the unique resort experience it provides. We will stay club level again simply because the amount of points it takes to book a room there is very reasonable. If you have any other questions please ask.
