We are kind of bummed that the podcast recording is on the same day we visit Castaway Cay. We were looking forward to attending that event but its hard to justify missing out on a great port. Does anyone else feel the same way? If so, what do you plan on doing? Just curious.
That's true, but it will be tough to convince our son to wait a few hours before hitting the beach with us. Maybe it will be cool in the morning though and worth waiting a few hours to get off the ship. I guess we'll just play it by ear.

There's actually a fair chance that it will be cool that morning. Its still a bit too far out to get a forecast for our CC day, but the average low temps then are in the mid-60's so the mornings may be cool. Average highs are just about 80 so it should warm up nicely.
The last couple of years in December, CC has been cool. Chances are it will be afternoon before its warm enough to get in the water!!
It's always tough trying to negotiate space from DCL. Basically we can only have the venues when they don't need them....which usually means port days.
Did the Podcast team announce what might be included in the gift baskets for this cruise? Just finalizing our packing list and wondering if we might be able to pack a few items less to save space and weight. Thanks!
P.S. Thanks for the responses regarding Castaway Cay. I didn't realize that it might be cool in the mornings so maybe we can see the podcast recording after all.

As much as I would love to see a podcast recording, I have not been to Castaway Cay in 7 years and it is my favorite part of the cruise. So I will be choosing Castaway Cay over the Podcast unless the weather is poor.
Our group will be going to Castaway Cay instead of the taping as well. It will be my family's very first Disney Cruise and I know they will just LOVE Castaway!
