Happy Friday Cruise Friends!

Crock pot is loaded (chicken and dumplings), wine is in the frig and Ben and Jerrys is in the freezer.

Was this week longer then late week? Sure seemed that way for me.

Cruise Question: Palos brunch and dinner: worth doing? any days better then others? Do I just Ask Tracey to make reservations?

Please advise my experenced Cruising friends!

I've had Christmas lights strung around my deck railing for 27 months now. I don't turn them on and they aren't even plugged in, just a total pain to unwind/wrap/twirl. So I guess that makes me a little trashy?

We're expecting a miserable rainy weekend. It figures that the two nice weekends we've had since the first of the year I had to work. There are still Christmas lights on the house and I am starting to think we are soon to become the white trash neighbors if I don't get them down soon.

We have tickets to see Lion King in Boston on Saturday night. We have orchestra seats which should be fun. We usually sit high up in the balcony when we go to the theatre due to the cost. I splurged since these were a Christmas present for Pam.

I have two Christmas wire frame item still in my yard, I need to get down this weekend, between rain showers. Now that the ground has thawed, I can actually get them pulled out of the ground, as I had them tethered so securely to the ground, that they were literally frozen to the ground.

Signs of spring!

The town highcrew crews at home and where I work are running the street sweepers. That must mean they are not expecting any more snow, ice or other need to spread salt and sand on the roads. Yippee!

My eyes are starting to weep the way they do when things are starting to blossom. But I still do not see any blossoms.

Me too - with the weepy eyes...I went to pick DD up from school yesterday and was caught with my face leaking and no tissues! ACK! Usually this early with no signs on the trees is the mold left behind from all the snow and ick.

Is it time to go yet?

Not soon enough...


DD auditioned for Beauty and the Beast earlier this week. She knows by now, but I will find out in a couple more hours. 16 kids in her age group auditioned for the roles of Chip or one of 8 dancing napkins. She has been practicing her napkin dance all week.

We are hoping to catch Alice in Wonderland this weekend, but I have to work Sunday.

Hi Everyone! I went to the doctor this morning on a follow up to my knee. The X-rays came back clean - no fractures or signs of Arthritis.

The doctor's educated guess is that I strained the Patellofemoral Joint in my knee. He feels like it will heal with no complications, just will take some time.

I have to go get fitted for a brace to add support, so I am not sure how that will effect my walking, though Moving is good for it.

I don't know what I did to injure it in the first place, though after reading about this type of injury, I believe the stair climbing that I had added to my routine back in January may have been the cause.

Mold is just a guess...I have a confirmed mold allergy, and there tends to be mold with a snow melt. For us, we had several warmish dry days which would put the mold in the air...the rain is here now so I hope it gets washed away.

DD didn't get a part in Beauty and the Beast. She has decided to help out backstage. I told her that was a good way to get to know the teacher who is in charge of the plays.
There is a chance she will be able to belly dance with me at a very high profile local event, but I haven't told her that yet - I don't want her to be crushed if we don't get it. It kinda scares me how much she likes to perform.
