Morning Folks!! It is beutiful outside today. I forsee the smells gasoline and fresh cut grass.

Grass!?! I remember that stuff in about 2 months I will finally be able to see ours through the melting snow and mud. :goodvibes

Cruise Question: Palos brunch and dinner: worth doing? any days better then others? Do I just Ask Tracey to make reservations?

Please advise my experenced Cruising friends!

For $15 a head, I would do it. It was sooooo worth it. We are going to book it again. Have done Palo on all of our cruises. :thumbsup2

Hi Everyone! I went to the doctor this morning on a follow up to my knee. The X-rays came back clean - no fractures or signs of Arthritis.

The doctor's educated guess is that I strained the Patellofemoral Joint in my knee. He feels like it will heal with no complications, just will take some time.

I hope it starts to feel better soon Tracey

DD didn't get a part in Beauty and the Beast. She has decided to help out backstage. I told her that was a good way to get to know the teacher who is in charge of the plays.
There is a chance she will be able to belly dance with me at a very high profile local event, but I haven't told her that yet - I don't want her to be crushed if we don't get it. It kinda scares me how much she likes to perform. :sad2:

Alice in 3D tomorrow!

I am glad your DD is still able to help out, I hope she wasn't too upset not getting the part

Wow, you belly dance? That looks like a lot of fun but I have no rhythm :rotfl:

Hope you enjoy Alice - we're waiting til the Med cruise so we can see it for free

Funny thing just happened, I was asleep and heard a tapping on the bedroom window - I thought it may be the wind blowing a cable that we used to use for the satellite dish (we now have cable TV). So I got up and opened the curtains to see a little chaffinch
a_chaffinch.jpg

pecking at the window, then flying off for a bit then back again! I think it must have been able to see it's reflection and thoguht it was another bird :rotfl: Just glad it didn't peck through the glass :scared1: it was really going for it

Happy Monday everyone :cool1: :cool1: No wake up call this morning

It's lovely and sunny here today - bit of wind but it's not too chilly. I have also seen a crocus in our front garden  Looks like spring is about here :woohoo:

Have a great day

Good Morning Everyone!! Happy Monday!!
I am dragging this morning due to the switch to Daylight Savings Time. It will take my body a few days to adjust to the time change.

I got my brace over the weekend - Looks like I will not be walking for a few days as I get use to the restricted movement allowed by the brace.

Getting my car worked on this morning....is it bad that I'm looking forward to going to bed tonight and it's only 6:55am?:surfweb:

Happy Monday!!!

But be wary this day for today is the Ides of March. Watch out for friends wielding knives.:goodvibes

Morning folks. Things are kind of quiet here at OKW this early. Other than the groundskeepers getting the golf course ready for the day.

Ack!
It was dark this morning!!!

But it will be light later after work, and that is good!

G'morning & Happy Monday!!
Alittle chilly at the bus stop this morning but at least it's not raining. Like most of the weekend here. My 2 older kids are excited to get their top braces off this week. For me that means drive all the way to Chesapeake (over an hr drive)
Hope everyone has a great week
Kathie

Alice was good. I envy your Med cruise! My parents are on a Med cruise (Holland America I think) over Easter. DH may or may not have to attend a conference in London in May....I thought the NO was final but now his work is reconsidering...

Cute little bird, but trying to hard to peck at the window would start to get a little creepy.

I had to work yesterday morning.. That was brutal.

I hope it doesn't take too long to get used to the brace.

Happy Monday!!!

I should avoid cutting melons today right? :scared:

:lmao: :lmao: It's that Monday feeling ;)

We don't change until the 28th March :confused3

We used to change later, but a politician got a bright idea...

I just don't like the transition when we "spring forward." When the alarm went off at 6:00 a.m. this morning, my body KNEW that it was only 5:00 a.m. REALLY. :(

I'm still dragging 5 hours later.

Drive safe, especially if you have to pass over that metal bridge...I hate that thing.

I hear ya, I feel the same way...the good thing is, that when 4:30 comes around, my body will think it's only 3:30..and the sun (or what little we can see of it today) will still be up. Have a great day.

thanks...I hate the steel/high rise bridge on I-64. And yep i have to go over it. My kids orthodntist is on battlefield blvd..because of insurance that is where we have to go...5 mins from where we used to live...lol

Happy Monday folks! :wave2:

Good luck with the app - I don't know what you could do to fit in with no veg, beef, wings or chocolate :confused3

Good times but I found out she doesn't like bacon either :sad2: I ended up making bacon wrapped cocktail sausages with a brown sugar topping. Even had to shop at a couple of stores since most of the weiner brands were a mix of pork and beef. Ended up with turkey ones - not nearly as good but everyone else finished them off :rolleyes1

Glad to hear it Tracey :thumbsup2

Too bad Donna - at least she got the audition experience - and fab to hear it hasn't crushed her and she still gets to enjoy being part of the show - good for her :goodvibes

Taunter! :upsidedow

So at the Home Show this weekend, a boothvendor waves us over and DH stops to chat with him. Turns out he's booking timeshare presentations :sad2: I keep saying "No", DH keeps saying it's a pretty good deal  The guy keeps throwing in more and more stuff til DH says, "It's too good a deal to pass up" :scared1: I think I hear the guy say, "Sucker" :rolleyes1

In the end we got:
  • 5 days/4nites at waterfront hotel in Cocoa Beach
  • $50 Ron Jon surf shop gift certificate
  • $100 credit at the steakhouse restaurant
  • 4 days/3nites at Radisson - 1 mile from WDW gate
  • 2 tix to either WDW, SW, US
  • no blackout dates, 24 months to use it

Pkg cost $299 - a good deal if you breakout the components. Not a good deal if we end up with a timeshare :lmao:

Anyone do a timeshare presentation before...what was your experience like? :confused3

cheers,
:flower3:
