Good morning. I get to spend the day interviewing people that want to go to vet school. I feel bad for them. They get so nervous and worked up.

What they don't realize is most of the admissions decision is based upon their grades and GREs and the interview rarely changes our decision.

Oh well. Off for 7 hours see you later...

Hey at least it's not you being interviewed It is good practice though, I hate interviews

Awww, so sweet I think it's when couples "talk" over the boards DH's mancave is 3 flights of stairs up from my office and when we moved in I told him if he knew what was good for him, he'd better never IM me if he wanted to ask me something

I know, cars are just money eaters. It does make me wonder (as I don't have to drive to work everyday) if it was worth me getting a car compared to how much taxi's would have cost when I couldn't get a lift (but I know that's not the way to think about it). I think we've both come to accept there will always be something requiring money/time

Good morning all!

A bright sunny day here. I am even going to thaw some steaks and brush the snow off the BBQ! Ok DH will be brushing the snow off...but I will have everything ready.

DD found out yesterday that her school play this year is Beauty and the Beast. She wants to audition for Mrs. Potts. The schools I went to didn't do plays so I am of no help to her. I am going to talk to another Mom tonight and ask advice but if anyone here knows anything that will help, I would appreciate it. She is so excited. I don't want to crush her spriit but this is open to all grades - JK - 8. She is in grade 3. I have no idea what the odds are of getting a part from the lower grades.

Have a great BBQ - I'm hoping we get to have a couple this year, I don't think we bothered at all last year

Good luck for you DD - no specific advice really (I was always part of the 'group' in school plays) but just do your best and even if she doesn't get what she wants there will be more plays Let us know - Beauty and the Beast can't be an easy play to do at a school.

Woohoo looks like this thread is nearly at 100 pages! Nearly time for part three? ... Just as we nearly hit 300 days to go.

I will upload a picture of poor Becx's pellet shot windscreen on Sat when there's a bit more light. She was a lucky gal !!!

DH had a meeting this morning in regards to a job.
I have to say it is a wonderful thing when several of the men he met with say they need him on this job.
I am biased, but happen to think he is the best at what he does.
Here's hoping the job comes through!
Now the wait begins!

As far as trying out for the musical goes, when I was in school we couldn't pick what part we wanted to be, we just got cast in the show where our instructors thought we would fit the best. Let us know how it goes and best of luck to your DD!!

Not for a few more weeks!
This is the job that is supposed to start right around the same time as our ABD trip. Needless to say if they call right before we are to leave for our trip, they will be told he can't start until the 20th of April.

I have to say I'm very pleased it's Friday today

We were going to see the Princess and the Frog next weekend (for Valentines day) but then we remembered we had an appointment at the hairdressers at the same time, so we're going to see it tomorrow instead It also means we'll be near an American diner that does really good food - so a quick trip to the Disney Store, brekkie at Buddy's and a movie
