Happy Hump Day folks! :wave2:

I am trying to make a point of pulling myself out of the dumps, I have never experienced anything quite like this before. :)

 Hey, you've got ABD coming up

On my way home last night I was driving along the highway I usually go along and I heard a thud, I looked over to the passenger side and my front windscreen had a large crack (about the size of a hand) :scared1:

:sad2:  :scared1: Wow, that really sucks...so sorry it happened. Don't those idiots know how dangerous it is to do that? KWYM, getting the car in for repairs is such a waste of time and energy, esp with work and all. Here's hoping it all goes smoothly pixiedust:

hmmmm....appears my post from yesterday didn't get posted. The only meaningful :rotfl2: thing I posted was I didn't know where we were staying yet. Waiting to see if Pete comes thru with another fab $99 Dolphin stay...it was so convenient having the port transport right there too :thumbsup2

cheers,
:flower3:

Hiya everyone! Happy February. Not off to a great start at our house, but it could be worse. I've been battling an infection and the doctor gave me a shot of 'not penicillin' as I am allergic. Still got sick from that too. And have a bump on my rump to boot. I even left work early yesterday and went home to feel lousy there, when later in the evening, DP calls and asks that I come get him. He and his sister were in a car accident. So still feeling cruddy, I go and get him. They are both okay. No scratches, bruises or lacerations, it was all absorbed in the body of her car. And Puxatawny Phil saw his shadow yesterday too. GRRRRRRR.

Next week will be better. I can feel it already.

Popping in as well to say :wave2: .

Had a great call with Canada last night! :)

Hi everyone! :wave2: I can't contain myself anymore. I am getting so excited about the cruise, meeting lots of Diser's, IOA Harry Potter and going to Disney again that I just knew it was time to get to know the people we will be cruising with. :yay:

I hope you can swing that :goodvibes And I think doing Universal first is a good idea, we thought about it but we need to save money and as we have DVC the accommodation is kind of already covered. Will you be driving this time too?

We will be able to swing it, it's how much time he will get after the cruise that is the question.

I hate the time just after coming home - seems to get a bit worse each time too :sad1: I hope you perk up soon, I'm sure it's the time of year as well - spring is almost here (I hope) the days are already getting brighter :flower3:
Best thing to get over it is plan the next one, I'm so glad we have a trip planned. I'm just getting impatient now as I want to start planning the days and meals :hyper:

We have a trip on the books, it's ABD in April! :woohoo:
However I can't get excited about this or start planning until DH books the airfare!

Happy hump day folks :yay:

On my way home last night I was driving along the highway I usually go along and I heard a thud, I looked over to the passenger side and my front windscreen had a large crack (about the size of a hand) :scared1: Luckily it's still intact but I will need a new windscreen :sad2: I think it was one of the travellers/gypsies with a pellet gun (there is a static 'camp' just over the hedge near the highway where they live - not sure if these travellers travel or not anymore :confused3) as no-one else would have been there, it was pouring with rain and there are no houses right there.
I'm just glad it didn't totally break the windscreen but it's still a hassle getting it replaced and I'll have to claim on my insurance (first time since I passed my driving test in 2006 :sad2:). It's very frustrating as I know I can't do anything other than pay for it, the police wouldn't be able to prove it was anyone in particular. When DH came home (about 30 minutes after me) he saw a police van there - a dog section one - so it looks like they tried to catch someone, I hope they did.

Well that sucks about your windscreen! :sad2::mad:
Hope they caught someone! :thumbsup2

Good morning all!

I have sent back the teenager I had borrowed from my sister now, as he is back at school today. It was nice to have the help, and another Disney nut in the house. Due to parental issues with him, he hasn't been able to get a passport to travel to WDW until he is 16. He is 14 1/2 right now and has admitted he is looking more forward to getting his passport than his driver's license. :goodvibes He really wants to see WDW himself.

The withdrawl after such a long trip sucks. At least you have the ABD trip planned. That should help. If we need to - we could plan a dinner and share pictures and stories from past trips.

Sounds like a great Idea! I will mention this to John tonight!:thumbsup2

Yes but on the bright side at least they were not injured in the accident.
As for you feeling lousy, I hope you feel better soon!
As for the winter it will end when it ends! No sense crying over spilt milk. :thumbsup2

Popping in as well to say :wave2: .

Had a great call with Canada last night! :)

So John tells me you checked out our rollercoaster.
Kenny and I love riding the Behemoth! :thumbsup2
Do you want to ride it with me? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Now for what I came here to say!
DH had a meeting this morning in regards to a job.:yay::yay:
I have to say it is a wonderful thing when several of the men he met with say they need him on this job. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2
I am biased, but happen to think he is the best at what he does. :):)
Here's hoping the job comes through!
Now the wait begins!:)

Oh, I do hope your husband gets good news about the job!
It is good that you have such great confidence in him. That must really make him feel good as he goes through this process.

I found this qoute on another thread and the poster was being sarcastic, but I couldn't help but giggle! :lmao::lmao::lmao:
There's that sunshiney feeling you can only find on DIS.

Our friends live in Potters Bar, although they are moving somewhere closer to London in May. With a 3 year old the cruise is the only way I would do this much traveling in Europe. I would love to spend time taking the train around, but that is not in the cards until DS is a little older. I am hoping for an upgrade since we are cat 9 and there are still a number of rooms with balconies available.

Oh yeah, so close to London then. Yeah I wouldn't fancy trying to get around the UK by train with a 3 year old, I suspect you'd be fine in Europe but you're better off driving in this country.
I'll keep my fingers crossed you get an upgrade :thumbsup2 I was very suprised to see the cost of the med cruises - they have come down a lot - I'm guessing they are not getting as many poeple as they had hoped to.

:wave2: Morning!

No time to play today, but thought I'd stop by and say hello! :)

Hi there, nice to see you :goodvibes It's been rather quiet here.

Happy Hump Day folks! :wave2:

Yeah, I called my insurance and it will be about $115 excess - not too bad. Luckily the glass repair people can come to work which saves me dropping off the car and waiting :cool1: Although now DH has a slow puncture - we've been keeping an eye on it but it's definately going down - so we will have to drop off his car at some point and get it fixed/replaced :faint:

I hope they are able to get a good rate at the Swan/Dolphin - that was so handy being there.

Oh Todd -hope you are feeling better soon  It just seems like one thing after another and this time of year is especially depressing :sad2: I'm glad you DP and his sister were ok  how horrible - for them and you.
Keep up that positivity - it does help. But you can come here if you need to moan

Well that sucks about your windscreen! :sad2::mad:
Hope they caught someone! :thumbsup2

I doubt they will, even if they do they are above the law! They live here without paying tax and yet are given a place to live and get away with an awful lot :sad2: I guess I'm lucky that's all they've done, could be worse

Happy Thursday everyone - so glad Friday is almost here :goodvibes

We updated our DVC count down on our home PC yesterday - 307 days now (I can't believe I forgot to do that when we booked the flights :scared:)

Have a good day!

Woohoo looks like this thread is nearly at 100 pages! Nearly time for part three? ... Just as we nearly hit 300 days to go.
I'm not looking for significance in the numbers, after all this isn't a set on Lost :)

I will upload a picture of poor Becx's pellet shot windscreen on Sat when there's a bit more light. She was a lucky gal !!!

Good morning. I get to spend the day interviewing people that want to go to vet school. I feel bad for them. They get so nervous and worked up.

What they don't realize is most of the admissions decision is based upon their grades and GREs and the interview rarely changes our decision.

Oh well. Off for 7 hours see you later...

So glad that DP and his sister are ok. And don't believe every groundhog - Paparazzi likely has a lot to do with that shadow.

I missed an international conference call with the US? Dang. ;)

Think of it as preparing them for real world interviews. The more you do before they count for as much the better. You are helping them practice.

Hiya everyone! Happy February. Not off to a great start at our house.

 Hope the bump on your rump is no more than a tiny lump by now! I swear Thing One must whisper to me in my sleep :rotfl: Sorry to hear things are less than great, but wonderful that DP & his sis are fine. Here's to the rest of Feb being fab pixiedust:

Awww, so sweet  I think it's :rotfl: when couples "talk" over the boards  DH's mancave is 3 flights of stairs up from my office and when we moved in I told him if he knew what was good for him, he'd better never IM me if he wanted to ask me something :lmao: :lmao:

cheers,
:flower3:

Good morning all!

A bright sunny day here. I am even going to thaw some steaks and brush the snow off the BBQ! Ok DH will be brushing the snow off...but I will have everything ready.

DD found out yesterday that her school play this year is Beauty and the Beast. She wants to audition for Mrs. Potts. The schools I went to didn't do plays so I am of no help to her. I am going to talk to another Mom tonight and ask advice but if anyone here knows anything that will help, I would appreciate it. She is so excited. I don't want to crush her spriit but this is open to all grades - JK - 8. She is in grade 3. I have no idea what the odds are of getting a part from the lower grades.
