Bonus!

It is my birthday today. Disney movie rewards sent me a code for a free blu-Ray and bonus points. I don't know if they do this for all members, but I thought I would let you guys know so you could sign up for free Blu-rays too.

:welcome: party:

Hey there, great to see some more cruisers joining :wave2:
There is still plenty of time to get to know us, make sure you read some of the other threads especially if you haven't cruised before.

I hope the snow isn't too bad for you - I'm hoping we're going to be over it here too (not that we get much but it still slows things down). I've been to Vermont a few times (I worked at a summer camp near Rutland) and just love it there

Happy Tuesday everyone

Thanks for the welcome! :goodvibes

I grew up in Woodstock, VT (loved growing up there) got married and moved 20 min. away....in White River Jct. VT Rutland is not far from Woodstock at all....what was the name of the summer camp in Rutland?

I have cruised before but never with Disney. Steve and the girls have never cruised.....I can hardly stand it...waiting that is :yay:! Especially since all of this white junk is falling from the sky! :eek

I got a "free" blu-ray for my birthday, too. It is not really free. I think it was $4.95 postage.

I chose Enchanted. However, I do not have a Blu-ray player.
I could sell it on Amazon for about $12.00.

It's almost Midnight here and I needed my Dis fix. So I thought i am going to check out the PCC 2.0 board. Then I see this thread and can't figure out how I missed it the last 100 times I was on here lurking. :confused3 So anyways jsut wanted to say hi. Can't wait to meet everyone on the cruise. Never cruised B4 and had no plans or desire too but just had to since it was the PCC. Y'all made the first one sound like so much fun. Now to work on my shyness before it gets here...:sad2:

Pin collecting/trading is a big deal here too :rotfl:
Yeppers! The olympians were actually first with the whole pin trading thing! Find any cool ones? :confused3

HI!! :wave2: And Welcome, you and your family are going to have sooo much fun!!! Good choice!!

Happy 'what day is it??' folks :wave2: The days have just come and gone so quickly here...just amazing. :woohoo:

Haven't caught up on the whole thread but welcome to the newcomers  and congrats to Jaime/Meg! :cool1:

It's been crazie fun at the Olympics: the folks here are jubilent, friendly and polite - holding doors open for each other even when I'm a few steps away from the door, etc. Altho most stuff is pretty crowded, it hasn't dampened the spirit here. The sunny weather, I'm sure, has helped. The crocusses (sp?) and daffodils are already in bloom here!

So much Canadiana it is amazing. At times groups will just break out in the national anthem

Last nite was wild downtown with Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir skating an absolutely magical ice dance program to win gold. :cloud9:

Everywhere is brimming with excitement - it's hard to explain/capture. I was working quite a bit and have now finished my volunteer shifts so I'm going to check out the pavillions/venues today - a ton of stuff going on that is free. Pin collecting/trading is a big deal here too :rotfl:

Got tix for the ladies long program practice session tomorrow so am :dance3: Of course our hearts break for 6-time Canadian champion Joannie Rochette, who's mother passed away suddenly on the weekend in Vancouver. Joannie is reigning World silver medalist and is expected to challenge for the medals. She has stated she will skate but whatever the outcome, fans from all over will be incredibly proud of her, and stand and applaud her for her courage. Our sympathies are with her and her family. :sad1:

Hope all's well with the 2.0 gang! :goodvibes

cheers,
:flower3:

I'm glad to hear you have been having a good time :thumbsup2 Sounds like a really friendly party atmosphere there. Wow you have daffodils already! they are popping out here a little but not flowering yet.

I hope you get some cool pins :goodvibes But don't end up like Lisa on the Simpsons :lmao:

I wish I could see a bit more of the coverage but most of it is quite late at night and we don't seem to have much spare time in the evenings recently. I hope Joannie does well - bless her for continuing

How much longer are you there for?

I hope you had a great day :goodvibes We've only just got the movie rewards program here, I hope they do something for my birthday :)

Thanks for the welcome! :goodvibes

It was Camp Betsey Cox (girls camp) and Sangamon is the boys camp - it's closer to Pittsford and Chittenden than Rutland. I just loved it there :cloud9: I think I at least went through Woodstock - on one of my days off (those were so much fun). We went to Machester a few times too. I love how most of the place names are from the UK, I've heard there is a Northampton in Mass. (that's our towns name).

You and you family will have such a great time  You have never seen service IMHO until you have done a Disney cruise (we've never cruised with anyone else) It will come around soon, but yes we've had enough snow too :sad2:

Oh no worrise you will love the cruise :lovestruc it's so much fun when you 'know' loads of people (even if you don't I was saying Hi to everyone with Dis lanyards :lmao: ). Don't worry about being shy, everyone is very approachable :flower3:

Well....here in Vermont, we're getting ready for a couple ofbig snow storms headed our way. I know....I have lived here all of my life...but quite frankly I have been enjoying this mild winter! :rotfl: alright...I'll stop whining...only because I am headed to Disney in April and then the we just decided we are going on the Podcast Cruise 2.0! :cool1::thumbsup2:banana::yay:

I am doing just what Kevin, John, Pete, Corey, and Julie have said...I'm jumping in and saying Hi! Can't wait to make some new friends, and I can't wait to getting to know all of you!
:upsidedow

Jeanette

Welcome, Jeanette !!! You are going to love the cruise. Like everyone is saying, just jump in! We're a friendly group. It'll be fun to match names with faces when you finally get on the ship. The PCC 1.0 was my first time cruising. We had a wonderful time. :yay: See ya in December !!!

There is indeed a Northampton Massachusetts, it is only 20 minutes from where I live. It is located on the western side of the state.

I live in Rochester off a street named Avon, work just south of Oxford, and frequent a town nearby called Birmingham.

Happy Wednesday Everyone. To those gearing up for the lastest snow storm (or snow hurricane as it's being called) stay safe and warm.

This is a very good place to get over shyness. :goodvibes

Morning All!

Once the banana bread is out of the oven I will be headed off to the Dr. and see if I can get myself off the injured list and go back to work. Although I can't say I have missed it THAT much. If I could find a way to keep the paycheck and stay home - I would. But since it is my pay that covers vacations - it is worth it!

We definately need to visit at some point - just to get a pic of us by the sign :lmao: And I need to take Gav to Boston - he'll love it :lovestruc

I live in Rochester off a street named Avon, work just south of Oxford, and frequent a town nearby called Birmingham.

It kind of made it feel like home with all these similar names :thumbsup2 It does make me laugh when an American tries to pronounce Leicester or Worcester ;)

Happy Wednesday Everyone. To those gearing up for the lastest snow storm (or snow hurricane as it's being called) stay safe and warm.

:scared1: :scared1: That sounds really scary - hope everyone is ok

I know what you mean, after a hard week at work when I'm moaning about work Gav reminds me if I didn't work we'd have no holidays :rolleyes1 So I just keep on at it :goodvibes

I hope it's healed up ok?

Good Morrrrrrrrrrrrrrrning everyone!!!! :dance3: It's official... I am making this my new favorite daily thread. :thumbsup2 Better go start and warm up my truck. Little chilly this morning. With the wind feels like -16 C / 3 F here today. Nice and sunny though so it's not too bad. :) Anywho... have a great Wednesday all!!!! :yay:
