Paul, I love the photos. They look so amazing!

My first (and only) cruise was western Carribbean over ten years ago on the Seawind Crown / Vasco DeGama.

It was originally built as a trans-Atlantic ocean liner. It had great lines and interior. It was trend-setting modern liner both in and out - in its time.

Read more about it...
"Once a Portuguese national flagship and later a deluxe globe-trotting cruise ship, the now forgotten SEAWIND CROWN sits alongside a jetty in the outer harbor of Barcelona awaiting her fate."

What local traditions does your community have on Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras?

Not much here. Basically its people asking if the food is spicy (if a restaurant offers anything special), and then their nose wrinkling up and saying "I don't like spicy food".

Of course, I don't fit that mold. Love spicy things. That's one of the reasons I married Val!

You're a smooth operator!! :rotfl2:

Happy Tuesday folks! :wave2:

Haven't posted much cuz there's so much going on :yay: The downtown is crowded and there's so much energy around town. I go into just regular stores like a drugstore or grocery store and the cashiers are all wearing Olympic Go Canada gear! The atmosphere is fab here - even the queues to get into restaurants, etc. are fun and friendly. On the street pretty well everyone has some Olympic gear on: daypack, toque, vests, scarves, etc. I got some Olympic gear including the coveted red mitts :thumbsup2

So far I'm very impressed with public transit and less impressed with the police and security :rolleyes1

My brother and his family came in and spent the weekend with me so it was wonderful to hang out with them: took in the parade and major festivities in Chinatown for Chinese New Year and did some Olympic venues.

On V-day nite, I went to the Pairs figure skating Short program. We were in row 13, opposite side of the judges, lots of digitaries in the VIP section sitting across from us: Peggy Fleming, Joe Biden, Mitt Romney, Jean Chretian, Ottavio Cinquanta, Marie-France Dubriel, Patrice Lauzon, Micheal Ignatieff. Up top, Jamie Sale and David Pelletier were doing commentary. Saw Barbara Ann Scott and Scott Hamilton in the venue. popcorn::

Heading to the Men's Short program today  The sun is shining and forecast is for more of that for the next 6 days :cloud9:

And I noticed someone's ticker showing less than 300 days to 2.0 :dance3:

cheers,
:flower3:

WOOT! Red mitts! Careful when wet - sometimes the white turns purple. :confused3

And I must say I'm impressed - I wouldn't spot Ignatieff if I tripped over him!

You mean Kevin didn't tell you of your duties? :rolleyes1
:rotfl2:

Paul - Awesome pictures again!

Just paid off the cruise with our tax refund. :cool1: Doing the happy dance! Nothing more to do now other than wait.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

So how did you celebrate the Chinese New Year? Which year is it now - I'm thinking dog?

So have you been working on the Todd.0 logo - I think it should feature the thong

We went down to Chinatown in Chicago.

Watched the Parade, shopped a lil at the cute shops and had lunch at a restaurant in Chinatown,

It is year of the Tiger!

Good Morning Computernet Friends!!!

Happy Packzi Day! Happy Mardi Gras! Happy Fat Tuesday! (A packzi is like a donut on steriods..extra calories, extra fat, extra filling, extra good!)

What local traditions does your community have on Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras?

We do pancakes here but we'll probably have some at the weekend. My friends kids enjoyed seeing the pancake race in a nearby village.

I'm glad you're having a good time, I was watching the snowboard cross the other night - wow - it's incredible how close they get :scared1: and how fast they go.

I have been trying to find something for GADGAD. But The choices here are limited, or are falling on days I can't do them. I keep checking for updates, so far nothing new.

I hope you find something :goodvibes

For a brief moment I thought perhaps they were rolling pancakes down a track...:confused3 Good story though. :goodvibes

I'm a monkey too!

Happy Wednesday!

42ish weeks until the cruise. Woo Hoo!

I am a dog....wait - make that - I was born in the year of the dog.

I jammed my finger yesterday so I am staying on the injured list for one more week. :sad2: Is it possible to learn to be co-ordinated this close to 40?

Thanks of for the warm pics Dodie! They are awesome!

Yeah I've nevr really got why they do that race - maybe a race to make the batter and cook a pancake? I don't think they'd roll very far but it would be rather funny to watch your sort of pancake race :rotfl:

Owww, just as you were getting better - hope it doesn't hurt too much

Thanks Paul and Dodie for those pics - makes me think of summer :beach:
