Hush! Who said anything about more snow this weekend. :) It was just a myth..... Right? ;)

Look at it this way...All of this snow makes us want PC 2.0 even more. Bring it on I say....Bring it on!!! pirate:

We are supposed to get some snow this afternoon through overnight, But it won't be anything like the rest of you have been getting. 3-7 inches. Easy.

I hope they are wrong about the snow this weekend, especially since I will be in Indy on Saturday and I don't want to get snowed in or have to drive home in a mess Saturday Night.

I have my May trip to the World to look forward to, before PCC 2.0.

Are you throwing out a challenge, young sir?

Its HILARIOUS!!!!!

Got it on video from the library. Loved it!!!

Glad the humour travels well! I wondered about that.

Hi guys! Hope everyone had a fun V-day weekend!!

We went and rang in the New Year in Chinatown on Sunday and had a good time.

Can't believe less than 10 more months until Podcast Cruise Todd.0!! :thumbsup2

That does sound like fun.

Good Morning Computernet Friends!!!

Happy Packzi Day! Happy Mardi Gras! Happy Fat Tuesday! (A packzi is like a donut on steriods..extra calories, extra fat, extra filling, extra good!)

What local traditions does your community have on Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras?

Not sure of klam's adventures in Vancouver, but my friend is having a blast! He compares it to the atmosphere on Bourbon Street, but while wearing parkas. Every time he goes to a pub, there seems to be a group from another country and inevitably their national anthem gets sung. Then the whole place sings the Canadian national anthem. And on par with Canadian tradition, he says that everywhere he has gone he had been greeted warmly and like family.

We have no traditions for today :sad1:. It's probably for the best. Carl is under the weather and it's a pretty busy day for us, appointments, dance classes..:sad2:

I'm glad your friend is having a great time. I haven't been to Vancouver since Expo in '86. These Olypmics seem to have really brought out a lot of Canadian pride.

No more talk of snow. I think I am still tired of it from last year.

I am counting 1 event at a time.

Todd - I had no idea that you were going to be 58 this year :lmao::lmao:

Happy Tuesday folks! :wave2:

Haven't posted much cuz there's so much going on :yay: The downtown is crowded and there's so much energy around town. I go into just regular stores like a drugstore or grocery store and the cashiers are all wearing Olympic Go Canada gear! The atmosphere is fab here - even the queues to get into restaurants, etc. are fun and friendly. On the street pretty well everyone has some Olympic gear on: daypack, toque, vests, scarves, etc. I got some Olympic gear including the coveted red mitts :thumbsup2

So far I'm very impressed with public transit and less impressed with the police and security :rolleyes1

My brother and his family came in and spent the weekend with me so it was wonderful to hang out with them: took in the parade and major festivities in Chinatown for Chinese New Year and did some Olympic venues.

On V-day nite, I went to the Pairs figure skating Short program. We were in row 13, opposite side of the judges, lots of digitaries in the VIP section sitting across from us: Peggy Fleming, Joe Biden, Mitt Romney, Jean Chretian, Ottavio Cinquanta, Marie-France Dubriel, Patrice Lauzon, Micheal Ignatieff. Up top, Jamie Sale and David Pelletier were doing commentary. Saw Barbara Ann Scott and Scott Hamilton in the venue. popcorn::

Heading to the Men's Short program today  The sun is shining and forecast is for more of that for the next 6 days :cloud9:

And I noticed someone's ticker showing less than 300 days to 2.0 :dance3:

cheers,
:flower3:

I don't have any Disney plans until Decmember. Hope that is okay.

Unless you count "Give a day, get a day".

I am looking into volunteering in June for the Maine chapter of the American Lung Association's annual "Trek Across Maine". Bike riders go about 150 miles over three days from the mountains to the sea. On Saturday, they overnight at Colby College, right in my backyard. They turn the campus into a tent city. They need 750 volunteers for the three day event for all sorts of duties.

Any chance that they will be out of the million vouchers by June?

That sounds like a great opportunity for GAD, GAD. I don't have a clue how quickly they are going to go through the vouchers. Time will tell. I'm going to guess for, "No they won't" though.

They announced that they had 600,000 volunteers last week, so that leaves 400,000 to go. This is only the second month of the promotion, so it will either level out now or if it remains at its current pace, they will be gone by April or May.

They have that many volunteers, but of those, how many have completed their assignment and got the voucher...that is the tricky part.

I have been trying to find something for GADGAD. But The choices here are limited, or are falling on days I can't do them. I keep checking for updates, so far nothing new.
