PodCast 4.0 Chit Chat

Hello, everyone! I returned home this evening from my European "trip of a lifetime" - although I hope there will be more of them in the future. :) Now I can think more seriously about this cruise - although my hotels and flights have been booked for some time.

Nancy, glad you had a great trip!!!

We are in the car driving back to Tampa after our 7-night Eastern on the Disney Fantasy. It was a great trip. Time flies by....Definitely liked the Fantasy over the Dream....

Now, on to planning for this cruise!!!

Hope everyone going on Podcast 3.0 has a great time today!!! Can't believe it's only 5 1/2 months until we leave on 4.0.

As we were pulling away from Castaway Cay Friday, I became excited thinking that the next time we get there, it'll be decorated for Christmas along with the ship!! In our 6 DCL cruises, this is something we've never seen and I am very excited about it!!!!

Thanks, and welcome back from your Fantasy cruise! I hope you'll enjoy PCC 4.0 as much.
Uhhh ... will future trips be in ANOTHER lifetime? :lmao:

:lmao: Nope...future "trips of a lifetime" will (hopefully) be in this one! ;)

Glad to see I wasn't the only one watching the Dream pull out of port today for PCC 3.0.

Looking forward to PCC 4.0. Maybe I should book airfare soon. Still deciding on post PCC options.

Did you do shore excursions for Eastern? Want to do this itinerary.

In early Nov 2011 I was on Dream and saw the Disney elves decorate because we booked back to back - was the most amazing transformation that was done in about 5 hours. I know they did more decorating as it got closer (like finish the gingerbread house) but it really does give the ship a different feel.

Welcome back Nancy!

I like the idea of cooling off - we hit over 100 degrees for the first time this summer yesterday.

Hi Everyone...thought I would check in to see what's going on. I've been on the Theme Parks boards lately. I also watched the Dream pull out the other day....with a heavy heart, as I was originally booked on that cruise before I switched over to PCC 4.0....I will probably watch as you all pull out too...I'm hoping to get on another PCC in the future, maybe when my DGD graduates...in the meantime, I'm busy planning for WDW in September. I ordered the Photopass Plus and am gathering pins for trading.

Have a great day.

Hi, Cheri! I haven't paid any attention to 3.0 because it never appealed to me. It's more expensive than 4.0, and it's a summer cruise to a hot destination. For the same reasons, I'm not interested in sailing on Oasis of the Seas next June.

I'll be in Orlando at the end of July with 2 of my kids, but only because my nephew is getting married then. As long as we are there - we'll go to WDW for a few days. :teeth: I'll return at the end of September for Epcot's 30th Anniversary celebration (October 1st). My DH and I were at Epcot in October 1982 on our honeymoon - although he has no interest in going to WDW any more.

Have fun as you continue to plan for your September WDW trip!

Hi Nancy...we were booked on PCC 3.0 because we booked it on 2.0...my DD wanted to go on that cruise because it was near her birthday, but after seeing the price difference for 4.0 then I switched....but I still feel in my heart that I made the right decision to change it to a land trip to WDW..this way all 3 of us get to have a girls trip. Since my DD is getting married next year, this could be the last of this type of trip....so I'm pulling out all the stops and doing as much as we can in 9 days. We have the QS dining plan, but we each chose a TS meal (oddly enough it worked out to be 1 breakfast, 1 lunch and 1 dinner) and will save the QS credits for breakfasts. This will be the longest trip the 3 of us has had at the world and I'm really looking forward to it. Normally, I'm "the" planner, but this time I'm making the girls get involved so that everyone gets to do what is most important to them. It will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

I'm glad you are happy with your decision. With 9 days - you'll be able to do so much!

I have enjoyed my 3 Disney cruises so far, but if given the choice between a Disney cruise and Disney World - WDW would win. That's why I can't go on a Disney cruise without also going to WDW! :teeth:

Hi all! I'm adding myself to the thread. I just booked 4.0 last week. :cool1: I'm very excited. I have not been on a cruise since 2.0 and it was getting to be time.
