I'm thinking of paying half the cruise next month and the rest when due to make it a little easier on the bank account. Can't wait to see you all in December!

Good morning, folks!

I got back from the film festival (three movies) last night and logged in to chat. It was 11:30 and almost everyone was gone!

Morning all - this week is going by slowly....

How was chat last night? I was busy chatting w/a real life DIS'er :). Vinny and I went out to dinner last night with Erica (ericafny) and her fiance Damien. We had a yummy dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and had a great time. They are getting married next weekend and we wanted to have a chance to get together and talk about the wedding and WDW honeymoon. Vinny and I are going to the wedding/reception so I'll take some pics to show everyone.

I got to chat later, after 10? still was fun - seemed like lotsa nice new folks too. Disco Mike was spinning some pretty old tunes! party: Congrats to Erica & Damien - have a fab time! :bride: pirate:

Is it not easier to hire someone to do this? You wouldn't catch me 40 foot up in the air :scared1: I'm bad enough on ladders. I hope it works out ok though - we always seem to have unexpected problems with DIY

That's what we're thinking now! :lmao: Actually,they're giving us a 40 footer but we'll only need about 26' :rolleyes1

cheers,
:flower3:

Morning Todd :hippie:

what are pita poofs?????

I am pretty sure that is not the correct name for them, just what sittu calls them. Its like small pita bread that is poofed up and doesn't flatten as it cools. I had a almond butter and jelly sandwich on pita poof for breakfast this morning. Carbs are my mortal enemy....but I love them so...

Lunch time!
Beef burrito from the cart across from the library. Yum!

Hungry from making more ADRs for December trip.

Anyone eaten in Marrakesh? I read mixed reviews, but I am willing to give it a try.
My Epcot dining is set up to be Akershus, Chefs de France, Biergarten and Marrakesh.
Counter service likely to be Sunshine Seasons and Fish n Chips from England.
Any thoughts on my picks?

My Chefs de France is at 5:20 Satuday DEcember 11. I have room for three more at my table for four if anyone would like to join me.

I've eaten at Marrakesh a bunch. (They used to give 50% CM discounts for lunch...) I like Arabic food. There is a significant Arab population in Metro Detroit and there are numerous eateries. My grandfather's latest wife is Lebanese. Restaurant Marrakesh's food is different from hers, but still good in my opinion. They do use a lot of cinnamon as a spice on entrees. That might take some getting used to.

Thanks for the encouragment for Marrakesh.
I read people fussing about cinnamon at Boma. I am good with it. I use it in my "interesting" recipes.

My partner's mother's recipe for tourtiere (French Canadian meat pie) calls for allspice, cloves and cinnamon. I was raised with Italian spices (oregano and basil and garlic for meat), so this took some getting used to. But I like it!

Exactly, different isn't always bad. It expands your horizons. (Plus you'll see a belly dancer and might even get picked to dance yourself!)

We ate there on our honeymoon in 2002 and thought it was pretty good! That's where I discovered iced mint tea...YUM...

Matthew's allergic to cinnamon, but he had no issues during our meal there. :thumbsup2

I ate at Marrakesh back in 1991. Food was good, just not my flavor of food. It was the only restaurant my friend & I could get into for dinner. I had either chicken or pork - too long ago to remember.

Went to Marakesh. Been a few years ago. Decent food. Since I use a variety of spices, spices didn't seem that strange.

DH fussed - but he always fusses about something,. He wanted to try something 'different', then fussed because it was...

Men can't never please, 'em.

Actually, this is late for me. This is one of those mornings that I slept until the alarm went off :rotfl::rotfl:

I just don't always get over to the boards as early.

Still that's rather early

Happy Thursday, cruising friends!!

The last two evenings I went to dinner with my ex-gf. Tuesday was supposed to be a get together of the crowd we ran with in high school and last night was with our moms.

Well everyone ditched us on Tuesday, so it was just she and I at a table for eight. The food was good though. And it gave us plenty of time to catch up. From what I can gather of her verbal geography of Iowa, she is about halfway between Muscatine and Des Moines...but upon further investigation, she is closer to Muscatine. Last night we feasted on Lebanese cuisine. I have to say, it was as good as what my grandfather's third wife makes (she's from Lebanon). So I have kafta, kibee, grape leaves and chicken tawook for lunch. Oh and homemade pita poofs. Yummmmmmmm.

Sounds like you had a great time and that food sounds yummy - I've only just eaten dinner and it's making me hungry ;)
