Not sure. Guess so. It is such a challenge choosing between convienent times and lower prices.

Odd thing, the price to come home is about double the price to go down.
Maybe we are supposed to stay down in Florida?! :confused3

It is because you are traveling home on a Sunday (Fridays & Sundays are the most expensive days of the week to fly on) and it is the weekend before Christmas.

:cool1: Great news

I love it when the plans all start to get finalized , of course once everything is done as far as planning I start thinking about another trip :rotfl2:

I'd like to finish planning one trip before planning the next.

BBQ in Chicago.
Muddy Buddy in Chicago.
Camping in Wisconsin.
Hershey Meet in Pennsylvania.
Labor Day.
Perry Sound, ONT (family trip)
Wine and Dine Half Marathon.

And its all capped off by eleven wonderful days in WDW and aboard the Wonder with some great friends.

Maybe if I don't take any other vacations, I could afford the next ABD/DIS adventure.....:scratchin

The flights I am looking at are the same way. But being so close to the holiday, I expected to be gouged.

Now as long as we can keep Mother Nature happy until 12/12....I could care less if I'm stranded in Florida. Stranded in DTW is not where I want to be.:furious::furious::furious:

I'll second that thought - I need her to be very mellow until afternoon on the 16th ( our flight out is that Sunday of the cruise)... then she can storm away to her hearts content

We barely made it out of Buffalo last year for DISapalooza

I hear ya. I had a 4.5 hour delay in the airport going to Chicago. I could have driven there in the amount of time I spent waiting for the plane. :sad2:

Not knowing or recognizing that might be aa airport code - at quick look I translated DTW to be something for Down Town (Walt Disney) World which could be a good place for a stranding.

:laughing::laughing: Its Detroit Metro's airport code.

Happy Friday!

Just thought I would stop by and say hello. :wave2:

Hi Ann :wave2:

WHOO HOOO!!! :banana::cool1::yay:

I just bought a plane ticket to being me to Florida in December :goodvibes
and another ticket that will bring me back home to Maine. :sad1:

Now the trip feels far more "real"! :wizard:

Congrats on getting your plane tics! Taking care of those flights does make things seem a little more "real".

Wow, Todd, you're a busy guy this summer!
We're going to Branson & Tablerock Lake at the end of July, and I HOPE to be in Indy over Labor Day weekend. Then we just have to get through the fall before we finally get to PCC2.0.

And when will this be happening, sir?
I realize it is a family trip,....but.....:scratchin

I always spell it wrong. :headache:

September, sometime. Mom wants to take a family road trip (her, me, my Grandpa, and my Aunt) to visit the relatives up there.
They are gettin' on in age. :guilty:

That's cool.
If you find yourself with a few hours to spare maybe we can get together.

Just a teaser....our view from the dining room.

Feel free to bring the family along with you if you decide to come by they are more than welcome too! Or if you just want a few hours to yourself I will do my best to make them great!:) :thumbsup2

John & Katherine, can you cut down that tree there on the left? It's really blocking my view of the lake. ;)

Shouldn't the title of this thread be:
Podcast Cruise 2.0 Discussion Thread 3?

I know this is true. Supply and demand and all that.

But it is kinda nice to think that it is more expensive to go home because we are really supposed to stay in Florida. Until it gets too hot, any way.

Deal - we'll be rich and our husbands wouldn't have needed to get their educations after all :laughing::laughing:

I am very, very proud of James for getting his degree. However, he has no plans of ever changing his job, and his degree is not going to help him one bit with his current job. He is getting a degree as a "back-up". You never know what might happen in life. And, so he figures he can't make his kids go to college if he didn't.

I love that White Birch!
But it may have to go soon as it hangs over the lake a bit.
But a great Tarzan swing tree in a few years.
The bottom center one is gone as of 2 weeks ago and the far right has been pruned up for a clearer view.
