Well, even though it's been DEAD here today, I'm glad I stayed. I just had an important phone conversation with one of my internal customers. I'm glad someone was here to answer his questions. Maybe I scored some brownie points.

That said, I doubt I'll last much more than 30 minutes longer. It's just too nice outside and too quiet inside. The weekend must commence!

Well, even though it's been DEAD here today, I'm glad I stayed. I just had an important phone conversation with one of my internal customers. I'm glad someone was here to answer his questions. Maybe I scored some brownie points.

I just sent everyone home. Nothing going on. I can't leave here till 5 and there is not enough work to keep me busy. So..I set them free!

I know what is going to happen here today - just as I try to leave a bit early - 4:00 - the phone will start to ring.
One of the managers will come in with a new employee who has to get processed because they just hired them for this weekend.
one of the servers will need a new shirt and/or apron
One of the Marina boaters will come in to dispute a work order before handing over the $ to pay it
My boss will start telling me to leave early - and I will yell back across the office for him to hush and leave me alone so I can leave early.

Tough cabbage buster.....our payroll leaves at 3pm, regardless of the day of the week.

This is a very good reason for direct deposit.
My partner doesn't even get paycheck stubs anymore. All online! No papers to lose or shred.
