They just delivered the flippin mail!!! I know that the actual hurricane won't be here until later tonight but we having storm conditions, everything is closed and everyone has pretty much been told to get where you are going to be and stay there. I would have thought they would have told the Post Office to stay off the road.

Did any of you eat the Godiva Chocolates that Andrew and I bought on our cruise? They seem to have disappeared. One child said she had 'a few' of the milk chocolates, but the whole box of dark chocolates is gone. The other child said she 'had totally forgot about them', but is looking for the box. Until we get some answers, we aren't going to the water park.

We're lucky to get a full week out of our guy sometimes. And when it flurries, we're on an every other day sched.

Yeah, I brought a coat when I moved here from CA. My cousin looked at it, laughed and got me one of her old ones. Go to Burlington Coat Factory when you get here. They will still have a decent selection by then as opposed to stores like Kohl's which will already be selling bathing suits.

That is so cool. Where do you sell them? My friend started out doing wedding tiarras and now has a whole jewelry business on Etsy.

We have decided not to evacuate. But I now have, besides my 89 yr old mother who lives with us, our two dogs, my one son, his wife, granddaughter, their two giant labs, and my other son's ex-girlfriend's mother and her son staying with us.

Plus my other daughter-in-law (who did evacuate) is due to have my newest grandson in two weeks and is now 30% effaced and 1cm dilated.

So it's not a good time to come visit. Is that what you are saying.

A few random thoughts for you....

My DH takes a nap every weekend day. Really? I swear the man needs to do a sleep study. No 45 yo should need that many naps.

My dog has really stinky farts today. I know you all needed to know that.

Don't ask questions about ADHD on Facebook. It might make you cry.

If I manage to lose as much weight as I want to, I will need new bathing suits by the end of Jan. And since as I told Sharlon, they will be selling them by then, I should be good to go.

At this point, for our 5 day cruise, my kids are down to $47 each per day. Our cruise is going to be cheaper than going to PA was. I do have to factor in driving to FL though.

I am running out of Cymbalta because I am a ditz and have forgotten to call my dr for an appt and have figured out that a lot of my pain did not go away just because I gave up sugar. The Cymbalta finally kicked in. Now it is kicking out. Ouch.

Have been watchign the weather channel. What is up with the idiot on the beach? He looks so ridiculous.

How are things "down under"?? We secured everything we could in NJ and came back to NY to wait for the storm. So far it's just really humid and foggy.
