PMSers Unite!

Taking a break from hurricane prep. I've got cash, dad gassed up the cars, I bought water plus I've been freezing bottles & containers of water for the last few days. I've got first aid kits, dad's getting his meds together, I'm going to do some laundry tonight, got bread, peanut butter, canned goods, regular can opener, batteries, flashlights, radio, cellphones are charged. Heck, I even charged my Ipod & a portable DVD player. I really hope we need none of it. But I'd rather be prepared & not need it than not be prepared.

Stay safe all!

Fill the bathtub and washing machine and any buckets you can with water so you can flush the toilets in case something happens to your water pressure/lines. If you have a landline do you have a corded phone that you can use when the power is out?

Everyone make sure you know where your closest shelter is in case you do need to get out and go somewhere safe at the last minute.

So far we have nothing-- not even any rain. It is on its way though.

Love and Pixie Dust to everyone. Stay safe and check in when you can. :grouphug:

We have decided not to evacuate. But I now have, besides my 89 yr old mother who lives with us, our two dogs, my one son, his wife, granddaughter, their two giant labs, and my other son's ex-girlfriend's mother and her son staying with us.

Plus my other daughter-in-law (who did evacuate) is due to have my newest grandson in two weeks and is now 30% effaced and 1cm dilated.
 Stay as safe as possible! That goes not just for you and your family, but everyone here on the east coast! Thinking of all of you!

What is it with chicken this week? First Caro and now us. Yesterday I told Danny to put the lasagna in the fridge and put the chicken back in the freezer( a few bags had fallen out). I go to get the lasagna to cook and find the chicken in the fridge and the lasagna in the freezer. What can you do I'm sure it would be frowned upon if I put Daniel in the freezer.:rolleyes1

I guess I need to get the crock pot out.
I'm so sorry I jinxed you and your chicken (and lasagna)

:surfweb:

Good Morning. I love my profession, but I so wish it was a M-F 9-5. I want the weekend!

Morning!!! Didn't sleep well last night, so It looks like it will be an exhausting weekend, since I doubt we will get much sleep tonight. Glad to see this morning that it has been downgraded some already. Off to make coffee.:surfweb:

Good morning everyone!! I hope everyone on the East Coast is staying safe.

Anyone want to come over for chicken? Danny did a good job and took out all the big bags. Guess I'll be chopping a bunch for salads.

You really need to learn to add some excitement to your life.

Well, prosecutor, who's to say that 'hormonal basketcase' and normal hormonal are mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive?
So funny, Tiffer, and on the mark, for the most part!

However seriously, I dated some nice women who were not matches, but I also dated one who likely has a personality disorder who messed with my trust and abandonment issues. She was a true wackadoodle and I am glad to have her totally out of my life!

Apparently she doesn't know us

Oh she does....she was just hoping that one of us would get points before she does. :rotfl:

I try to avoid big blows like the plague. Just the way I roll. I hate for my hair to get mussed up.

Case in point. :laughing::rotfl2::lmao:

Hey! My permanent record is cleaner than yours!

Pretty much what we are doing as well as making sure we have propane for the grill. Also hard boiled eggs are good for food in a pinch.
Also I saw this tip last night on tv. Take freezer bags and fill them with water about 2/3 full and shove as many as you can into the freezer to help keep the food rozen for extended power outages.
And like Scrappy said fill the tubs etc with water.
As for my oh come on that would have been the tag of the year :lmao::lmao:

Holy hell!!!!!!! I brought in all the plants and flowers last night and was distributing them around the house when Jimminy Freaking Cricket jumped on my arm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared1::scared1:

Better than Sally the Spider.

Good morning. :wave2:
So far all is okay here. Rain and wind are no worse than a bad thunderstorm. Power blinked for a few minutes but hopefully we will have power for most of the day. Mostly because the dumb*** reporters on the local news are an unending source of entertainment. "Hey look! I can lean into the wind and it will hold me up", "The water is getting deeper here, lets see how deep it is. (steps in and has water up to his thighs) Yep, that is deeper than this morning!" :rotfl:

I am already cooking a big bag of mine. Half is in the crockpot for lunch and the rest is simmering so we can have salads for dinner. Cooked biscuits and burned bacon for breakfast and will probably throw some frozen rolls in to the oven later to have with dinner.

Now we wait. . . .
