PMSers Unite!

Everyone from NC to Maine :headache:

Lara, Scrappy, Teva... they will be hit the hardest I believe. Then there are a few that are a little further inland that still need to beware... Pixie, Merle, Auntie, Myst, Tig....

Who am I forgetting people?!?!?!

yourself!

Good morning all! I'm on the south shore of Long Island, so the storm will be bothering me too. I'm hoping she goes away.

Doofus Jr just informed me that she put on deoderant this morning, but is still sweating. (as she holds her arms up to air out her pits)

I am sure they would have to take back the toaster. Speaking of which, I need a new toaster. Do ya think.....nah.;)

Not worth it. A.Women are hormonal basketcases and B. I had to buy my own friggin toaster! :rotfl:

We're in Maryland, in the DC area. Haven't checked the path this morning, but we're supposed to have heavy rain, wind and were told to expect power outages and downed trees. The ground is already wet from rain we had yesterday, so not a good situation going into it. A couple of days ago I did buy batteries....AAA which a certain new toy needed. :rotfl2:

Zach was supposed to move in to his dorm on Saturday, but they are asking everyone to wait until Monday. Ben is already at the same college, working as an RA, and said even though the kids can move in on Saturday, they really shouldn't. It's in the Baltimore area, which is even closer to the storm. I could really use another couple flashlights, but I'm betting the stores are out of them.

Buttload? Is that equivalent to a crapton?

Stay safe everyone!

My BIL is supposed to be getting home from Afghanistan today and I hope that Irene isn't blocking his path back to Savannah. My sister will be totally bummed.

Oh no, hope he makes it home safely.

I'm trying to stay calm, but that just isn't my nature. I thought I would have a heart attack when I felt the earthquake the other day. We are driving down to NJ tonight to secure all the outdoor items, coming back to NY tomorrow. I'll be up the creek without a paddle no matter where I go

Prayers for all of you in the path of the storm. We need a list of everyone that is going to be affected.

This has been a tough week. I know at some point I just need to sit down and cry it out but that hasn't happened yet. I thought leaving Kevin at College would be the hardest thing I had to do this week. I went yesterday to a funeral for a young boy from our church. It was heartbreaking buy uplifting all at the same time.
:grouphug:
Well, my doctor is sending me to an opthamologist tomorrow. To him, everything looks good. Doesn't look like the retina is detached, no signs of a stroke or TIA, my eyes track well and evenly, etc. He thinks a thorough exam is in order though. I had an exam by my optometrist a month ago and everything was fine then. Guess we'll see tomorrow.
Good luck! Hoping whatever it is can be easily fixed!

Ummm....YOU, maybe me...
I was making a list this morning of what I need to get at the grocery store after work today. Need to do my regular grocery shopping for the week, plus get some food for in case power goes out, as well as water, batteries, etc. I do have plenty of rum, sangria, beer, coffee and TP though, so at least I have the "important" stuff handled.:teeth:
But I have a buttload of water. :thumbsup2

We're bracing. I just noticed that we are now in the "extreme" part of the storm surge. I have a couple of hills between me and the Bay, so I can't imagine I'll get surge. Of course, my husband showed me a map of "worst case scenarios" yesterday where my neighborhood was just GONE from surge. We're a peninsula that sticks out into the Bay.
Hoping you don't get the worst case scenario path.

I think we are far enough inland to be ok as far as flooding goes, but I am worried about the winds. We tend to live in a wind tunnel as it is. We are piling as much of the outdoor furniture as we can into the shed, and will put more in the basement if we need to.

Either or. ;)

Okay. Describe yourself in a sentence.

I am a mix of fun, help, hope, laughter and plain pure mean as a rattlesnakes bite when someone threatens my people. I find it balances me. :goodvibes

NEXT!

I am off my rocker, fiercely loyal to a fault, smarta*s with a low bs/stupidity tolerance who can’t do enough for my kids and who longs to live on vacation. Is that a sentence?

That's not terrible news....Good luck Caro!

I know. :sad1: You know, I always thought that moving to the Panhandle would put me in the path of hurricanes and tornadoes. Since moving here, a massive tornado has devastated my home town in Massachusetts and now a hurricane is barreling down on VA and the rest of the eastern seaboard. It's like the world has just tipped a bit.

Scraps - What up with the eye?

My goodness that's alot to deal with! Be safe!

That Tiramisu cupcake is probably the best cupcake I have every had.:lovestruc

And I have another one waiting for tomorrow.:rolleyes1

Goodnight!

Not a fan of tiramisu but your making it sound so yummy!

Teva is okay. She posted about an hour ago on FB. If she has to evacuate it won't be til Sat.

UGGGHH..what a thing to deal with! BE SAFE TEVA!!! xoxoxoxo

We are supposed to get up to 100mph winds, but I doubt we will. I am bummed I have tickets for Stevie Nicks tomorrow night @ Bethel Woods, but probably won't go if it rains.

Oh no, hope he makes it home safely.

Essentially this post is all about ---BE SAFE EVERYONE!

So far there are no problems getting supplies here, except for Propane and gas is getting difficult. Was just at the store and they had tons of water everywhere, a whole bunch of ice and the shelves were stocked.

Tig, look for flashlights in the drug stores. Our CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens still have tons of stuff like batteries, flashlights and radios. And even the grocery stores. Walmart was pretty much sold out the other day because that is where everyone is running to. You might also try Home Depot, around here they are claiming to have plenty of stuff.

Do they have toaster catalogs?
If they do I didn't receive one.

Are you a non-hormonal guy, or hormonal enough for any relationship and can't share or a member of the Borg or what??

You obviously have TSA. (Toaster Seperation Anxiety)

I'm confused. Not about THAT, but about the bolded part of what you asked. :rotfl:

No toaster anxiety--I am quite attached to my toaster.

Good idea on the drugstores.....thought about home depot, but CVS is a lot closer.

Fighting a migraine today while straitening my house for the cleaning people. I insisted that Ron hire cleaning people every 2 weeks while the house is on the market. I have enough to do with keeping the house presentable and didn't want to spend free time scrubbing toilets or mopping the kitchen floor. :headache:

You said "Women are hormonal basketcases."

Teva sent me the definition of lesbian when I was PMing her.

So do you not want a relationship, or do, but are you a

1)guy and therefore a non-hormonal basketcase
2)a woman but hormonal enough for both people in the relationship
3)a member of the Borg who can be m or f and is not emotional. Maybe you're the one who came right before Seven of Nine?

Or maybe the prizes are really good and you're hoarding them! Does the toaster toast both sides equally?????

I would warn you to be careful about too much innuendo but I am so confused by this I can't even figure out if there is innuendo in there or not?:confused3

Hi everyone!!

Please stay safe and if they tell you to leave, then get out of dodge!

My head is hurting for the second day in a row, and I am this close to smiting some people.

Paws off my toaster, AND my toaster oven.

That's would be wonderful! I'll be there in January!
Oh umm. well....you do know that Jan is the wrost month, right? Don't get scared. It really can be horendously cold but it's the only month that gets that cold. Just uh, bring a good coat.

Yeah, I was going to add you to the list.

Me too. I read the first one, decided I was too naive or something so skipped on. Read this one and I still don't get it.:rotfl::surfweb:

I am trying to get my boys to finish their school work so we can go hang out with a friend at her garage sale. It's going very s.....l.....o......w....l...y.

Is this the pre-warning warning? ;)

Me either! I think it spun my head around!

For the record, if I were in the path of the storm I would be making sure that I stocked up on wine. ;)
