Is there a long engagement planned? Maybe she will figure it out. I hope.
The wedding is July 8th. Something tells me she will go through with it. She is settling. Tired of dating and just wants to be married.

Has she read Dr Laura's book? I forgot the exact name, but the one about what women do wrong. I bought it for my DD a year or so ago for her to read. Something for young women to think about when dating. There is no changing a guy! And they don't get better with age--and whoever said that a person does not marry their in-laws was dead wrong. My DH has so turned into a combination of his parents (mainly his mad, especially the way that his dad talks to his mother) that it's not even funny. And no, he did not used to be this way before we were married.
maybe I should buy that book. my guess is though she wouldn't read it.

I agree that a woman cannot change a man...but sometimes, very rarely, a man can change himself if he really wants to. I know this has nothing to do with the topic, but my DH has changed for the better over the years (in some things).

Of course, when you're young and in love, you tend to forget all common sense.

punkin, I agree that a guy can most certainly change if they want to. Of course "want to" is the key. :rotfl:

Yup.....

Hello all! Here again at work late. Trying to get caught up, which is not easy when you have people who seem to think you are just sitting at your desk twiddling your thumbs. I was eating lunch today and when I asked someone to deal with something because of that you would have thought I peed in their porridge. :confused3 This will be another week from the hot place. But next Saturday I am going to lay on my couch and sleep ALL DAY LONG.

I brought home my DN's on Saturday night. My sister was bringing crabs to a family picnic we had yesterday and needed to be able to get them and get to my cousins house without having to drag the girls back and forth. I slept with the little one. That child rolled all over my bed until 2:30 when she woke up crying for her mommy. Then she said she needed a drink of water and then wanted to know where the remote was, she needed to watch TV. :rotfl: I got her the drink and she watched for about 10 min. then we turned it off and she went back to sleep, luckily she stayed in one place after that.

I didn't get to calling the doc today. I was really tired and slept most of it away. I feel like such a lazy bum but I sure needed it.

I am researching some of the new antidepressants. Does anyone have any experience with Effexor, Lexapro or Cymbalta? I can't quite decide which I think I might want to try.

Shug, the last time I checked we are not MD's! ;) Please talk with the dr, see if you should be on meds and if you should, talk with him or her about the side effects, which would likely be best for you, etc. Please do this! :hug:

We are M(aster) of D(isneyology) so yes, we are MD's! My doc is usually open to suggestions if I'm requesting a particular type of med so I thought I'd go in with an idea of what I'd like to try and see which he thinks is best. Just doing a little research ahead of time. Honest, I'll call him this week!

I just don't want you to put it off. I know that I'm a great procrastinator, so assume everyone else is, too. :teeth:

We are. ::yes::

Don't do today what we can put off 'til tomorrow. :teeth: That's gotten me into trouble too many times. :rotfl:

How are you doing, teva?

You all would have been proud of me tonight. There was a fall baseball meeting for Zach's team. When it was over, there were a bunch of fire trucks that went to some town houses near where the field was that we were meeting. After a little while the boys went over there and I went trailing them...my excuse was to make sure they didn't get too close, but I was just being a kid. :rotfl: Nothing much to see, though. Either there wasn't a fire or it was small and we couldn't see anything from the outside. There were at least 6 fire trucks and I was glad to see that it hadn't burned down the row of townhouses. At least the firefighters were prepared. So now the parents know that I'm a big kid (one other parent came too).
