At our inservice we talked about trends over time and the pluses, minuses and implications for the future, and they read a newspaper article about webkinz as an example of a trend. They had us talk about the pluses, minuses and implications for the future. Our librarian had on the minuses time spent in virtual reality rather than the real world. Okay, I can see that. Then on implications for the future, she put that kids wouldn't be able to handle the real world because of being so used to the virtual world, which is a fantasy world.

All right, this was the LIBRARIAN..........excuse me, but are books the REAL WORLD or are they a FANTASY world, unless you are reading nonfiction, and the children generally choose fiction.

Did anyone condemn books as keeping kids from the real world??? (Okay besides my father ).

I do not like lime and I do not like jello but I did do a couple of jello shots the night before the most horrible day of my life. They were pretty tasty.

When i got my shower tonight I accidently washed with my son's 'Man Soap' instead of my 'Berry Delicious'. I hope things don't start sprouting on me.

We have a communal bathroom. The main bathroom is being renovated so everyone has to use mine. Hence the soap mix up.

Anyway, as soon as my son get's his man soap smellin' butt out of my shower, I'm going to bed.

I was just playing the game of the hour...the Boggle type game. I'm horrible as seeing words from random letters. But it was fun even though I felt stupid.
