So there is this girl I work with (the one who can't count change). She has no transportation and when hired planned to take a cab to and from work. I felt kinda bad so I told her I would give her a ride home. Its more or less on my way home, if I alter my route a bit.
I've been giving her a ride everyday now for about 2 weeks. Now don't get me wrong, I don't mind (although I don't care for her to much personality wise) but if it were you taking the ride would you at least offer a couple bucks for gas? I don't really need it, its more of the principle of the thing. Am I wrong in my thinking? I would never ask her for money, just curious what you all think.

If she offered, would you take it?

Oh and 4s, when I landed my first job out of college I didn't have a car (or license). I walked to work. One of my coworkers did often pick me up and drop me off. I don't think I ever offered her money. However, I would watch her kids and wouldn't take her money (even after she was no longer schlepping me around). She was a godsend to me. Helped me with a move and other things when I was having a difficult time. Basically she was one of the families that adopted me. She even took me to her parents one year for Thanksgiving. I miss her. Anyway, she might just not be thinking about it, I know I didn't. Now I feel bad.

I'd slow down, but then I feel guilt. The husband "watches" the kids (they all lay on the couch and watch cartoons together. Last night I got home really late because I had a late meeting and then I had to stop and pick up my laptop. I walked in and asked if they'd eaten and of course eat? How do you do that? So I made them dinner, but didn't have time to eat any myself.

I knew I had a meeting tonight, so I quick made tonight's dinner last night so that I only have to heat it up when I get home and I can run to my meeting. Before I leave for the meeting, I have to get the kids clean because they'll be in bed when I get back. DH can't do that because we do not have a tub this week because of the renovation (and he will not get nekkid near the children...we have to get in the shower with them).

Did I mention that I had a dream last night that I was getting divorced?

I do the girls showers from outside of it. Just make them get in and get wet, then I open the door and put the shampoo on, then shut the door and let them rinse. Then same thing with their scrubbies and soap. I put a towel down outside the shower, but really not much sprays out.
