Good morning. Must get moving. Dad's day at school, I'll have dads and moms all over my classroom, so I need to be there early. All I really want to do is stay in bed with my laptop. Oh, well...............

I had no electricity from 9am to 6pm yesterday - no power, no water, no phone. I'm on the 14th floor, so I was stuck inside all day. When DH came home from work he walked up 14 flights of stairs in the pitch black - he had to count to know he was on the right floor. I don't know how Amish people survive.

Then we had to pack up all my ironing for the trip - we have 4 suitcases (don't ask ). I have lists all over the place of last minute things to throw in (makeup, hairbrushes, etc). I can't wait to get there and jump in the pool.

There's no way I would have walked that. I would have found the nearest Starbucks and had you call me when the electricity was back on.

Hey all, I just invited Passions (something or other--bunch of numbers) to stop in and say HI over here. She has been on the dead body, fluffy, and Shug's turkey threads and seems to have the right spirit and sense of humor to fit in here. Poor thing. Don't know if she will take me up on it but I wanted to warn you in case anyone wants to go out and buy some more cheetos and ice cream or stock up on the Tequila, or hide the good chocolate!
