I'm pretty much resigned to going in there and having him breeze in, tell me the other guy's exam results agree with his and he's signing off and done. Then before I can open my mouth he'll be gone. If I actually do have a chance to get a word in I don't have the vaguest idea what to say. Not that he'll listen. We all know independent exams are skewed against the patient and are mainly used as a means of getting rid of us anyway.

Shug, I know that your shoulder problem is worse than my sprained (?) hand was, but I feel for you. That is how I felt when the hand specialist closed my case with my hand. I told him it still hurt (and still does now) and he pretty much shrugged it off. Sort of like a 'grow up and deal with it' sort of thing.
