I'm coming back to see you! In-laws are renting a house in Davenport. We may still be broke but worst case our uni/ioa tickets are paid for and it gets us away from here for 10 days. I think we can come up with airfare by then (I hope!).

Maryann was absent December 11-16, because she had a fever, sore throat, headache, and upset stomach. Her sister was also sick, fever and sore throat, her brother a low grade fever and ached allover. I wasn't the best either, sore throat and fever. There must be something going around, her father even got hot last night.

Can anyone explain what is going on in my 13 year olds head, please? Because Andrew and I sure aren't understanding.
1) Today Andrew discovered that Alana had downloaded $30.00 worth of games onto his cell phone when she had "borrowed" it numerous days this past week. Can't explain why except that 'they're fun.' She'll be paying us that money back, but says she doesn't care.

2) I found her this afternoon downstairs watching TV, eating deli ham and sitting on the back of the sofa. Her story, 'she was talking to Kathryn, wasn't sitting on the back of the sofa and Kathryn asked her to bring the ham downstairs, she wasn't eating it.' All lies! She was willing to have Kathryn take all the blame for the ham, even if Kathryn had nothing to do with it. Alana is currently in her room, not talking for the rest of the evening. Remember, early this week she was put on restriction for TV and computer for a month.

3) Took 7-up (that Andrew had bought for me yesterday) into her bathroom to drink, because 'she was thirsty.'

These are just todays things and this is a typical day in our house. Punishment means nothing to her. I just don't know what to do anymore. Back in June when told our doctor that she is 'singlehandedly destroying our family' I was quite serious. Maybe it's not something I should of said in front of her, but I did. The stress she creates is horrible.
Does anyone have any ideas on what to do?
