PMS in a Handbasket--Don't be afraid, just bring us food... Part 13

Paige, you are a wonderful teacher! :hug:

I am very thankful for all of you, too.

Me too..........just everything everyone else said.........me too. I can't say much more and keep myself together.

Dreams, dreams and more dreams last night.........choices had to be made of who to save.........not fun........woke with a big time migraine at 4 and it's still lurking. I'm thankful it came in the night so I could get it halfway under control before getting to school.

Knowing how my children would be (and most of you know when I say my children, I'm just as likely to mean my students as my at-home boys).......I have a story for that in fact. Yesterday, the AP came out of the bookroom and was teasing my children. I told him to stop teasing my children. One of the kids said "we're your students".........I said, "my students, my children, my angels".......

Anyway, knowing how they would be today, having heard about our teacher, I got my hair cut yesterday. Small children are fascinated with everyday things involving their teachers. I hoped it would take some of the focus off for them. So the children came in and asked if I was going to the funeral, right off the bat.......which is in the middle of the day........I said, "No, I'm staying right here with you all day." Then they asked if Mrs. F was killed in a car wreck and I said "Yes." Then they asked if I got my hair cut............and we had a 10 minute conversation about hair cuts and colorings, their hair cuts, why did I get it cut, did it look better before or after, where did I go, did I think about coloring it, where their moms go, how their moms do theirs..............and it had its desired effect.

So I am very thankful I thought to cut my hair last night.

Paige, you're a wonderful teacher. What an amazing story.

I've seen this poem before and thought I would post it for any of you who haven't seen it. :hug:

THE CIRCLE OF FRIENDS

We meet on-line to have a great time....
We laugh and we giggle and smile at our screens,
We sit back and wonder what this all means.

We surf the Web, we travel afar,
We span thousands of mile without a car.
We watch conversations flowing on the screen,
We tell jokes and stories and know what they mean.

What are we looking for? Where's the attraction?
How can we do this and get satisfaction?
Who are we? Why are we here?

We are "the Circle of Friends", made from a chain.
And we're here because friendship is what we gain!
Born on-line formed by few,
We had no idea just what to do.

So we are linking our pages, first one then two,
And wonder where we'll end up when we are through?
The Circle will spread, like a wild vine,
It will breathe and whisper like the winds of time.

We are the Circle of Friends, made from a chain,
All of our motives are exactly the same.
Searching for friendships all over the lands,
Linking our pages is like holding hands.

We are 'the Circle of Friends', made from a chain,
A chain of cable and wire without an end.

LB! Thank you - you have no idea how much it means to me that you added me to that list. :grouphug: :grouphug: I'm spending some alone time right now and coming here is the highlight of my day.

I hope I can add a few smiles to each and every one of you. Giving advice is not my strong point, but I want you all to know I think about you and your individual situations more than you know. I always tell my husband what a wonderful, strong bunch of women I have "met" here.

I love you all!!:hug: :hug:

OK, you guys are out to make me cry today! :hug:

Here's another one that I haven't seen before...a bit sappy, but still a nice message and how very true for us. :)

I HAVE A LITTLE GARDEN

No flowers will you find;
Instead you'll see the friendships
That I have made online.

They grow from something other
Than normal flowers do.
They thrive on love and support
And understanding too.

This special little garden;
No matter rain or shine,
Is always in bloom;
This special place of mine.

It's filled with fun and laughter;
Where happiness abounds.
This lovely garden echoes
Many joyful sound.

I would like for you to know
That you are planted here
In my "Friendship Garden";
Our hearts are always near.

I have an incurable obsession with the idea of going to WDW again. I NEED to go. I HAVE to go. This is not a simple wanting to go on vacation. I NEED WDW.

What are you doing April 24?:rolleyes1
I am stopping in MPLS for a layover. I'll pick you up.:thumbsup2

Hi guys, I am back. I have found a group that sounds pretty good. However a lot of people on there are pretty advanced so that is freaking me out a little. Lots of paralysis and vision loss going on over there. I intend to be part of the 50% that doesn't lose vision. I can do that right? Right?

Well, gee, if I can be one of the 20% who lives through peritoneal cancer you can be one of the 50% who keeps their vision easily :thumbsup2

How are you feeling today Shug? I haven't read back yet to see if you're doing better.

The drano the Dr gave me hasn't kicked in yet but he did say it would take 2 to 4 days. The "topical and internal" stuff though is a miracle. I can sit again!

Oh and I never got that russian mink you were sending me. Are you sure you mailed it? Last I heard it was still in the guest bedroom :rolleyes1
LB, not to turn this into a SAPfest (which I am so good at doing) I am SO thankful for each and every one of you, also. I don't know how I would have gotten through this winter without you all.

Hey, we just had the year birthday of the thread and we forgot all about it...at least I think it was around 3/7 that it started. I'll have to look! :yay: THAT is truly something to be thankful for. :cool1: ETA, nope, we didn't miss it....it's March 11th. I guess it would be weird of I wrote that event on my calendar.

Nah, let's have a party! Perfect timing for a meet! Too bad Luv can't be there :guilty:

Oh that's my favorite. I love good classic literature!

I know, Shug, the meet timing couldn't be more perfect! :cool1:

OK, I have to get off my **** and get things done around here. I've done a little today, but have SO many things to do in the house. Seems I've been out of the house a lot this week and when I am here I have a headache.
