Pleasure Island - Ungated!

So I saw from May 23rd until August 14th, that Pleasure Island will be operating ungated, meaning that anyone can get in without a ticket. Tickets however will be required to go into clubs, or other attractions. This left me to think that you could browse shops, and even participate and see any outside entertainment, including the nightly New Year's countdown, for free. Seems like a pretty good deal, huh?

Call me a cynic, but I see this as the end of outdoor entertainment like the nightly New Year's Eve celebration if people don't spend enough money.
