Pleasure Island Question

I know that Pleasure Island uses one of the pluses on the hopper plus passes but I have bought 5 day park hopper pluses which only allows 2 visits and I have planned 1 day BB and 1 day TL. My question is can I enter Pleasure Island just to look in the shops or do they take 1 of the pluses on entry to Pleasure Island.
Does that make sense?
I know that PI opens at 11.30am but the clubs don't open till late so do they allow free access to PI during the day for those who want to look round?

Yes, you can visit PI during the day for no charge. Have fun! (However, if you want to buy the ticket, Adverturer's Club and Comedy Warehouse are WAY up on our not to be missed list.)

I agree with the AC and CW. Unfortunately, I can't agree with daytime visits. About three months ago, Disney shut down the gates to PI during the day You can now only enter between 7 and close. There's something out there about one hour "look around" privlages at seven or some such stuff, but I didn't get the details. It's a shame, walking through during the day seemed to be a good way to convince friends to join us at night.

I was there last Wednesday night, they were allowing free admission until 9:00pm. I don't know if you could enter the clubs.

So am I right in assuming that the shops do not now open at 11.00am?
Anyone recently back to confirm this?
