I know there has been other questions about teens and PI but I have a slightly different situation and I am hoping for any input....

We are taking a large family trip this December: me (26), DH (34), mom, dad, DS (23), DS's DH (26), DB (17), DS (20).

We want to do an evening or two at Pleasure Island. My 17 yo brother wants to come. The problem is that my 20 yo sister has Downs Syndrome and won't be able to stay up late (she tires very easily). Can my brother get in with the rest of us (minus mom & dad)? If not, can my mom bring him in and then leave him with us? We all have the UPH so tickets are not an issue. I would appreciate any help.

Thanks!!!

Anyone can get into PI. What they do is give you a wrist band and a stamp on your hand if you can drink. If you can't you get a stamp on a different hand (if I remember correctly). But I know you will have no problem getting into PI with your 17 yo DB. You'll be amazed at how many young kids are there.
There is I believe one bar that you have to be 21 to get into. It's been awhile since I actually went into the bars there. We usually only go to the Comedy Warehouse and watch Frankie and the West end boys.
Have Fun Hope this helps.

The requirement is that those under 18 be with a parent or adult guardian. I think by any standard, at age 26 you qualify as an adult guardian.

As milmore104 mentioned, there are two clubs for which you must be 21 to enter. They are BET Soundstage and Mannequins. Although these tend to be clubs that draw the younger crowd, there should none-the-less be plenty to entertain folks in the age ranges of which you speak. Personally, I don't know why anyone would go anywhere but the AC, but I'm a little weird :teeth:

Not to rain on anyones parade but I have seen people turned asway trying to bring in someone under 18. They were looking for a note or some certification that a young adult is the responsible party of a teen.

Hmmm... maybe I will have my mom type something up before we leave... just in case. Thanks Eeyore!!!!
