We are eagerly awaiting our next trip in May. We have never had tea at the Garden Lounge, but this time we are planning on going. Can you tell me about it? What kind of teas did you order? Were the sandwiches good? Thank you!

We really enjoyed it and would do it again. We had tea, finger sandwiches (watercress & cucumber, tuna, egg salad, and PB&J for the kids), scones with raspberry jam and incredible Devonshire cream, and strawberries and cream. There was also a pastry tray that you could choose from, in place of the strawberries and cream, if you wanted that instead.

We ordered English Breakfast tea because it's my favorite, but there were many to choose from, and the menu had descriptions of each tea listed. We thought the sandwiches were very good; I don't care for tuna but I tried the others and they were good. My DH said the tuna was good. The watercress & cucumber sandwiches had a thin layer of cream cheese. One of my DSs doesn't like jelly (or jam), so they made him plain peanut butter sandwiches.

We had this as a late lunch one day and it definitely held us over until our late dinner that night.

I was also wondering this. I also wanted to know how most people dress. I thought it would be a nice and different break during the day and I wanted to hop over from either MK or Epcot.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 for the Garden View Lounge. I went with my friend for her birthday, and really enjoyed it. I want to do it again this summer. The portions may not be very big, but they do fill you up.

We really enjoyed this too. I can't remember which one we ordered, but anyway it included a glass of champagne. I had turned 21 literally the day before but my id was back in the room and I didn't think the glass of champagne was worth going all the way back (about 2 minutes! ) to get it, so I told the server that it didn't matter, I just wouldn't have the champagne. When we got the bill she had charged me for the less expensive tea that comes without the champagne, which was a nice surprise, as it hadn't even crossed my mind to not pay for the 2 champagne lunches. She was really pleasant and I loved the atmosphere, it's something different! The sandwiches were not really to my liking, but that's just my taste. :)

Great place for a break in the day! We have done it twice, both on our "no park" days, and had a great time. First time was with my mom, second time was with my mom and mother in law!

I remember sniffing all the teas numerous times before choosing which one - and I have no idea what it was but it was pink and yummy.

I have a thing for blue stilton cheese so I got that both times and I think we ordered 1 of the "meals" and split the sandwiches, scones, pastries, etc.

Everything is delicious and beautiful. Dress could be anything from park attire to resort casual.

Thank you everyone, for your replies. We are planning on going, and now I have some great suggestions. I will have to let you all know how it went when I return.

Thanks again!
