Please tell me why you love CSR.I ended up booking a ressie at CSR and I don't know anything about it,I would love to hear all the great things about this resort and would like to know what area to ask for if I want a quiet room.
Thanks!!! :)

We loved the look of the buildings, room decor and of course the pool is fantastic. The hot tub is huge. The lake is beautiful and the food court has a lot of interesting choices. We have stayed at POR, ASMU and the Dolphin before but CSR felt like a deluxe to us. Have a great time!!

We love it for the layout the size the pool and the food. Those are just some of the reasons we love it. When you get there you will be amased at the scope of the place the pool area is second to none on property and the colours are wonderful. We love eating at the Peppermarket and just strolling around the lake over the boardwalk behind the pool etc there are to many things to explain suffice to say we love CSR. Here is a link to a thread with many pictures of CSR resort in it.

It's beautiful, laid back, quiet, and this is JMHO, I feel it's geared more toward adults.

We just love this resort. It is so beautiful and different from the others. It has the best pool in the moderates and the second best at WDW over all. They have the coolest playground next to the pool ,they also have really large hot tubs. There was alway alot going on at the pool area for the kids. They refill your mugs at the snack bar by the pool and at the pepper market and the bar. They have two arcades, When there we rented a surry bike and a boat. Nice way to see the resort. Food at the pepper market is great and they have a lot of choices. They have a golf cart tram that takes you around the resort. In the lobby, gift shops they had play areas. I hope you like it as much as my family did. If we decide to stay at a mod next trip this will be my first choice. BTW we always have a car with us, so I don't know about the buses but by car we found this was the most centrally located, easy to get every where from CSR. Try to request either Casitas 1 or 3 to be near Pepper Market. You can also see some fire works over the water at night. I found this resort to be quiet overall and we were there at Easter and it was full. ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

I have stayed at Comtemp, Poly, WL, Y&B, POR, POFQ,CBR, FW as well as CSR. I agree I think of it more like a deluxe except for the outdoor hall ways. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

I loved everything about this resort! We have stayed there five times and it keeps getting better. I love the food court, the gift shop has a lot of different things- we found some great music Cds, the playground is incredible- it even has swings! The pool is great and has a nice pool bar with seating areas. I love the separate areas- we loved the cabanas the last time we were there. It is beautiful- especially at night! We walked around the whole resort every night. It is quiet and relaxing and very romantic. The tram makes it easy to get around if you don't want to walk and I found the bus system to be very nice. One day at lunch we did not want to get out because it was raining pretty hard so we had a fried chicken picnic lunch delivered-it was great! Have fun- you will love it!!

Thanks everyone for the great responses.I can always count on the DIS boards to give me great info!!!

Which fireworks could you see and from where at CSR could you see them? We will be there the first week in December for the first time! I'm very excited!! :goodvibes

Also, I remember reading something about an alligator there. Are there some in the lake?

Sorry to hijack the thread!

Because CSR has the best transportation (not shared with other resorts), it is very quick and usually empty. CSR definitely has the best pool of all the mods and some deluxes too. The fountains in the courtyards are simple gorgeous. The Maya Grill is a top notch restaurant and we love the Pepper Market. Beats any food court any day.

We have stayed at all the moderates and they are so hard to choose between because they're all wonderful!

Here's WHY you'll love the Coronado Springs:

You can refill your mugs poolside! We never got so much use out of the mugs!

When the Dig Site pool opens at 10am the lifeguards have everyone (mostly kids) sit on the steps of the giant pyramid shaped temple and chant, "Wa-ter! Wa-ter! Wa-ter!" and then the water starts cascading down from the top. The pyramid (with it's red burning fire at the top) is a great picture spot for the whole family and really looks fantastic at dusk!

The Jaguar slide is long with several turns and the Jaguar shoots water out his mouth at you. Our daughter went down this slide 217,199 times!!!!

The pool is huge with wide steps all around. So if your kids like to bounce a beach ball around but they're not tall enough to be in the middle of the pool, this is the most user friendly pool I've ever seen.

We had a water view (of the lake) room on the second floor right next to the Dig Site, but never heard yelling or music from the pool.

The white sand beaches with hammocks are relaxation central!

The theming is outstanding. All around are stone fountains and broken giant stone lizards.

I can't say a bad word about the CSR.

The Pepper Market is unique at Disney so just enjoy the unique menu. I find we never eat more that 1-2 meals at our resort anyway. We went out of our way to enjoy a sit down dinner at the Pepper Market.

Our last day, we checked out at 11am but stayed at the Dig Site pool until after lunch. Our DD6 (at the time) just loved that slide and bouncing her Princess beach ball back and forth with me.

You're gonna love it!

I love the atmosphere and the theming. The decor is nice. It has a very relaxing feel to it. :)

water, Water, WATER!!

adding question to thread.

Does food court offer food options for picky kid eaters? (Really, really picky-won't try anything new. Like hot dogs, some cheesburgers, white bread, chicken nuggets, mac n' cheese... you get the idea).

Thanks

Yes you can get pizza burgers and fries etc in the pepper market along with fajitas and burritos etc.
