I am sitting here at work today, completely bummed out because I found out last night online that the last of my grandparents had passed away and there is no way that I can get down there by 2:00 pm today for the funeral due to work commitments.

This is a day where I could really use some pixie dust.

I am seeing hints at pieces of the puzzle as to what the big announcement is, but I don't have the ability to download or listen to the podcast here at work. My computer has a 4GB hard drive with only 234mb of free space, no speakers, a Pentium II processor with a speed of 264mhz.

Could someone please brighten my day and tell me what the DIS has set up for us at MouseFest?

Okay - spoiler alert ahead . . . quick version:


They have rented out Toy Story Mania from 9:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. on December 13th. There will be desserts and light refreshments; and a cash bar. We will have the entire attraction and Pixar Street to ourselves. This is the first time an attraction, or at least TSM, has ever been rented out like this.

DU clients will get first crack and the left over spots will go on a first come first served basis - a sign up sheet will be on the DisUnplugged page.

Ms. Lee was my step-grandmother for most of the 1980's. She was a real sweetheart and I miss her terribly. I wish that I could be there today to pay my final respects, but being that I didn't find out about it until I read the hometown newspaper's website last night, there wasn't much that I could do in the way of making arrangements to be there. She had Alzheimer's disease and had been dumped in a home by my former stepmother. It's beyond me how someone as sweet, kind, generous, and loving as Ms. Lee could have raised someone so cold and unfeeling.

I'm sorry about your loss. I lost my Grandmother this last year. Can I suggest maybe writing her a letter? Then burn it or something. It could be your own personal way to pay your last respects to her. Sounds like a much better way than anything her daughter has planned.
