Please tell me about your honeymoon...

I am getting married on Oct. 24th of this year. Our honeymoon is going to be strange I guess. We are getting married at a hotel on the beach here in PR. My friends and side of the family are coming from Wisconsin so we are going to be spending the first 5 days of married life with them at the ocean. Then we fly to WDW for a week for a gaming convention that we are in charge of.
Our real honeymoon for me will be our week long cruise that leaves the day after New Years.

With only 3 weeks to plan our wedding, honeymoon, etc, we drove from Central NJ to Lake George, NY. Since we were getting married in Oct, we decided to go north to see the foliage, etc. We were married on a Friday eve, and left directly after. Stayed in a cabin for a long weekend.....came home on Tues. We have gone every year without fail (or kids....) for 18 years and stayed at the same cabin each year.

I am getting married on October 11, 2004 on St. Thomas. We are taking a Royal Caribbean Cruise out of San Juan on Sunday, getting married while in port on Monday in San Juan (not with the cruise line) with about 20 friends and family.

We will spend the rest of the week on the cruise with our friends and families! Then the second week we are most likely going to stay on the cruise for the second week (different itnerary). I am checking in to all-inclusives in PR or other islands that won't be too expensive to take a puddle jumper to!

What are you thinking about?

We went on our honeymoon to Paris the day after our wedding. We stayed for 5 days in a huge room in the Place de Republique which was stunning. We toured all the sites and went to DLP for a day. We didn't really have too much money at the time as we had both just finished 4 years at university but it was nice. We went to Las Vegas 3 years later which we treated as a 2nd honeymoon whilst we were there. We were at WDW for our (5th) anniversary last year though. We spent the day at discovery cove then our best friends who we were on holiday with took us to the California Grill for dinner followed by an evening in the MK.

We got married in Oct. 1974. I wanted to go south, my dh decided that we would spend out time in a cabin in a very small town. It was nice and the cabin was right on the lake but I was disappointed that I ended up cooking and cleaning the whole week. We didn't eat any meals out, because it was so small there were no restaurants and besides my dh thought "it was really nice to have homecooked meals". Little did I know that was going to be what he thought was great the rest of our married life. I made him promise that on our 25th we would do something I really wanted. On our 25th we flew to Vancouver and spent 3 nights there then set sail to Hawaii on a 11 night cruise. After the cruise we stayed in Oahu for another 3 nights. It was really wonderful and even though he didn't think he would enjoy it, he would now like to go back to Hawaii and we have been on 3 more cruises since. After 25 years of camping it was really nice to have a vacation where I didn't have to cook and clean.

Well....10 years ago this coming October (On 10/29 - hence part of my screen name)....we got married on a Saturday Morning, had a reception and then party at my parents, spent our wedding night at the Days Inn near Bradley International in Hartford and then went to Aruba.

it was a gift from DH's whole side of the family. 7 days all-inclusive at the Divi Tamarjin. It was wonderful! Slept with the A/C cranked up and the slider open so we could be cool & hear the ocean!

Well, I was 3 months pregnant(we were engaged and living together for 3 years and planning our dream wedding, oh well!) and plagued with all day sickness! We got married at the court house at like 9am had no real plans for a honeymoon! We ended up driving to WDW at 3pm that same day. No hotel booked, no idea of what we were doing either! We just knew I95 south!!LOL We had a great time because we were in love! I was miserable because I was so sick and it was the middle of JULY!! Between the heat/humidity, crowds, and tour groups it was enough to make us never want to do that again! After that trip I found the DIS!!

We honeymooned at WDW after our wedding there. It was fabulous not having to catch a flight--we were so exhausted! We stayed at WDW for 8 nights after our wedding (10 nights total for the wedding trip including the days before the wedding). It took us about 4 of those 8 days to truly relax, LOL! We never considered other locations for a honeymoon.

We left for our honeymoon the morning after the reception. We went to WDW when it ws only Magic Kingdom. We stayed offsite on International Drive before it became the nightmare it is now-no water park or other tourist areas. We also visited Sea World and the Wax museum that is no longer there. I also got food poisoning on the last night. Now I feel really old!

Our honeymoon happened 7 years after we were married! :Pinkbounc  Hey, better late than never right?? ::yes:: We were married May of 91 and honeymooned on our anniversary May of 98! :bride: :love2: :groom:
We celebrated at Disney and Universal Studios for 5 days and 4 nights...HAD A BLAST!
:teeth: :sunny:

Well-we planeed the honeymoon first. We really wanted to go to
and the Pacific NW so we set that up and then we planned the
wedding. Took a 7 day cruise out of Vancouver with Holland America and spent another 7 days in Vancouver and British Columbia. We are outdoorsy and although we didn't camp, we
spent a few nights in a cabin and did a B&B in Vancouver. The
cabin on the ship was one of their best at that time, large with
big picture windows. No balcony, cabins didn't have them way
back then. It was late May, the weather was crisp and perfect.
We did have one full day of rain on the cruise-in Ketchikan, when
we were salmon fishing. We were drenched but in love so we
smiled and laughed through the whole thing. Luckily, our fishing
boat had a cabin!! We saw so many bald eagles, we began to
say things like "Oh, it's just another bald eagle" then laugh
hysterically. We bought some beautiful Tglingit carvings and
a delicate whale carving. We drank champagne, hot tubbed,
hiked, walked on glaciers. We had a table for two in the dining
room-perfect. We toured all the gardens of Vancouver-our favorites were Queen Elizabeth Gardens and the Japanese Garden at the University of B.C. It was just perfect and I'd love
to do it again!!!!

We wanted to go to Disney for our honeymoon but we couldn't afford the wedding and a trip to the USA all in one go.

So we went to Australia to the gold coast for 3 weeks, On the gold coast they have theme parks called Movie world and Dreamworld. We had a blast at the theme parks.

We went on our honeymoon 3 days after the wedding.

We went to Disney USA for our 1 year wedding anniversery and where there for a month staying with friends. We also spent a week down in florida at WDW.

Disney rocks!!

We originally were planning to Honeymoon in Italy. But at the time of the booking the tragedy of Septmember 11th took place and we were unsure about leaving the country.

So we decided to go to WDW - a 12 day trip to Disney World staying at the Wildnerness Lodge. We were afraid it wouldn't feel different as we had gone there together prior to marriage. It was amazing. We jam packed everything we could into those 12 days (we had never stayed that long before). It was purely magical and we had the time of our lives! Someday I'll get to Italy, but I wouldn't change a thing about our Honeymooon...Best of the best!! And now, we get to go back each year for our anniversary...yippee! So looking forward to Wilderness Lodge again this fall!!

We got married on a saturday evening and left monday a.m. I am so glad to have had the extra day to rest, pack and visit. If I didn't have the extra day I would have had to have gotten on the plane with no luggage as I was not packed at all!
