DH loves this pound cake. I don't remember where I got the recipe but it has been our favorite for many years.
Jackie's Pound Cake
1 cup butter
3 cups sugar
6 large eggs
3 cups flour
½ pint whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ teaspoon lemon extract
½ teaspoon almond extract
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Add ½ of the flour and ½ of the cream. Mix well. Add the remaining flour and cream. Add extracts. Pour into a greased and floured pan, and put it into a cold oven. Bake at 300 degrees F about 1 ¾ hours. Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes. Turn out on a wire rack or serving plate to complete cooling. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
