Please settle an argument.

I was thinking Willie. (Did he even sing on that one?)

I guess it is Michael Jackson that comes to mind first for me, but that would be closely followed up with Stevie Wonder, Springsteen, and Lionel Richie.

That's an interesting story about Prince - seems about right...

Someone asked about Dan Aykroyd - my guess he was in it because he was close to a number in the music industry from the performances and recordings he and Belushi did as the Blues Brothers.

Cyndi Lauper because there's a neat little bit of trivia behind her and that song.

During the recording, the engineer kept hearing a clicking sound. They did mic checks, line checks, couldn't figure it out. Finally figured out that it was Cyndi's jewelry click-clacking as she moved.

Stevie Wonder was the first to pop into my head, then Cindy Lauper

I loved Do They Know It's Christmas. I had the full length album that included greetings from the stars and the behind the scenes video. Of course that's when I thought I had a shot at marrying George Michael:rotfl:

Stevie Wonder.

Did anyone go through the thread and add up and see who wins? :confused3 How about a poll?

In this order...

Cyndi Lauper

Ray Charles

Wacko when he was only about half way there.

Another vote for Michael Jackson here.

Bono

Nevermind, after reading the thread I realize I'm thinking of "do they know it's Christmas"

Hmmm... I think Cyndi Lauper is the one that comes to my mind for this song without looking at the video.

Okay OP who did you & your friend think? Let me go back and finish reading the thread - that may have already been covered as well.

Oh I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought of Bono! :worship:

Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson is what came to mind first. I believe Lionel Richie starts it off.

Though I also thought of Boy George, then realized that wasn't "We Are The World" it was "Do They Know Its Christmas".
